Of course the C.S.A.’s secession was legitimate. This Kermit jerk is as big a flip-flopper as was his relative Franklin who campaigned for president with the promise that he would keep Americans out of the European war. How did his promise work out?

Excellent, well-researched essay, Dave. Your Southern sympathies are not concealed. I, too, have Confederate ancestors, lots of them, and was an enthusiastic follower of our history, beginning in the eighth grade,1961, with the 100th anniversary of what we knew as the War of Northern Aggression, since it was not a civil war at all.

I painted a series of Confederate leaders’ portraits back in the 1980s and gave most of them away to my Southern friends. A favorite was of Confederate cavalry hero John Singleton Mosby, who, after that catastrophic brothers’ war on American soil, practiced law in Bristol, VA, not 30 miles from our National Alliance headquarters. That portrait I painted of Col. Mosby is treasured by my first wife and hangs in her bedroom where she admires it daily.

I just added a new title to our online bookstore this month and have been reading it: “Mosby and His Men: A Record of the Adventures of the Renowned Partisan Ranger” at CosmotheistChurch.org — 1868, by Col. J.M. Crawford, C.S.A. This 375-page, illustrated volume can be enjoyed by young and old alike with its large print. $22. I just finished Chapter VII when Mosby and 20 of his men strode into a Union camp behind enemy lines and captured the Yankee General, Stoughton, two captains, 38 other prisoners, their arms, equipment, and 58 horses. Incredibly bold military feat!

I listened to Greg’s interview with Mr. Orwoll aka Aulwoll and my comment on 12 July, above, was mixed. That was just my opinion as one who has had years of experience with similar communities. I never saw the earlier Daily Mail hit piece on Eric you refer to, but received this DM smear of him, published yesterday:

Maybe this one will be taken down, too, but read for yourselves while it’s up. It’s out there and is not good. The saying, “You cannot unring a bell” comes to mind. Erik is going to need more than real estate lawyers to defend or go on offense against the ADL and friends, with their billion$ and sympathetic media kinsmen and goy collaborators.

Defamation lawsuits can be very expensive, time-consuming and difficult to win. Morris Dees, co-founder of the SPLC hate group once bragged, “the way to defeat ‘white supremacist’ groups is to tie them up in court.”

My two takeaways from the DM article:
1.) How did he manage to raise $50K in a crowdfunding scheme? I’d like to know.
2.) His big tent effort, posing as a Christian conservative, cannot take him far, as most Christians will organize with Jews to oppose him.

I don’t know details, but was told that the Arkansas Attorney General has said that what Jews (ADL) have said about Eric’s Return to the Land movement does not violate the 1968 Fair Housing Act** Hopefully, a precedent can be set for White separatists, perhaps with Donald Trump coming in on the side of majority rights and freedom of association. Who knows?

Kevin, as NA Media Director, enjoys playing around with AI, and who has become quite accomplished at it, says :

This is the one speech by Pierce that Greg Johnson has recommended, if you only choose one. Pierce and the National Alliance were never in the right-wing — Old, New or Alt. Fact!

Then he sends out fund appeals to his list of feminists, Jews, and leftists, in which he says: “I am suing such-and-such a group, and I intend to bankrupt them and put them out of business, but I need your help. In 1992 Mosby was among the first group of men inducted into the United States Army Ranger Hall of fame. In June 2023, the Fort Moore (previously named Benning) garrison commander ordered his name to be removed from the hall of fame as well as the National Ranger Memorial along with three other rangers that included William Quantrill, George Bowman and Jackson Bowman. The National Ranger Memorial foundation, headquartered in Columbus, Ga filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court Middle District to restore Mosby’s name to the memorial as well as the hall of fame. At a December 16th, 2024 court hearing, U.S. District Judge Clay D. Land [George W. Bush appointee] dismissed the foundation’s request to restore Mosby’s name to the memorial and hall of fame.[2][3]

The North Carolina base had been renamed Fort Liberty in 2023. Its original namesake, Gen. Braxton Bragg, was a Confederate general from Warrenton, North Carolina…

Hegseth said the original Bragg name is a legacy for troops who lived and served there and that it was a shame to change it. And he said he deliberately referred to Bragg and Fort Benning by those names as he entered the Pentagon on his first day in office.

“There’s a reason I said Bragg and Benning when I walked into the Pentagon on day one. But it’s not just Bragg and Benning,” he said. “There are a lot of other service members that have connections. And we’re going to do our best to restore it.”

I, for one, served at both Fort Benning (Infantry Officer Candidate School and Airborne School) and Fort Bragg (Special Forces) from late 1966-spring of ’68, and could not relate at all to Forts Moore and Liberty, so welcomed the restoration back to the familiar names.

Maybe the Trump/Hegseth team will restore C.S.A partisan Mosby to Fort Benning’s Ranger Hall of Fame Memorial. They should.

Well put, Scott. Sound revisionist history surrounding WWII and the debunking of Jewry’s holocaust stories is a valuable tool for our side, but only one tool.

“Our Weapon: The Truth” at theoccidentalobserver.net by Hadding Scott in 2011 is one of the most important, relevant essays our side has, and Hadding is a revisionist historian.

Truth first! He wrote:

Reliance on the truth as our weapon dictates the kinds of people that we can reach. While no project can fare well long-term if it defies the truth, it remains the case that not everybody is equally committed to the truth. Not everybody is even equally equipped to recognize what truth is. We have to reach the people who are capable of being convinced through reason and presentation of facts.

We cannot win over the masses. Most people are more impressed with how often and from how many sources they hear a claim than with whether or not it makes sense — and that’s a problem because we do not own the mass media. Nor can we win the support of those calculating people who make their major decisions based on narrow self-interest rather than with an eye toward what is right, because we do not have vast quantities of money with which to tempt them.

Indeed, such people are not reliable even when they seem to have been won over, because the next gust of wind from big media will blow them in the other direction and make them forget whatever they said today. Consequently it is a terrible waste, when our cause has very limited resources, to aim specifically for mass appeal.

There is a very great advantage in not trying to win over the broad masses directly. It means that one may state the entire truth instead of tailoring one’s statements in accord with what our enemies have conditioned the general public to accept. By choosing not to dance around various taboos, one retains the ability to make sense, which is crucial for appealing to thinkers, and for bringing them to the necessary radical conclusions.

We have to speak to the deeper souls, the people driven by idealism. These are people with a conscience and a disdain for falsehood, people who have an inner voice that objects to following the crowd when the crowd is demonstrably wrong.

We have to cultivate credibility; otherwise there will be no reason to trust what we say over and against the all-pervasive propaganda of the anti-White mass-media…

Truth has to be paramount. The most significant figure in the American racialist cause since World War II —William Luther Pierce — was largely, perhaps primarily, motivated by indignation at the lies all around him….

Interesting. I lived in Pocahontas County for two years back in 1992-’93 and still manage the property Pierce purchased forty years ago. You might enjoy Pierce’s “Reality Check” at nationalvanguard.org where he wrote:

…I sympathize with the desire of anyone to preserve his heritage or to fly the flag of his choice, but this Confederate flag issue is as much a distraction as the Elian Gonzales issue. It’s simply not important. And I say that as a true son of the South. My great-great-grandfather on my mother’s side of the family was Thomas Hill Watts, attorney general of the Confederacy under Jefferson Davis and later governor of Alabama. His portrait is on the $10 Confederate bill. He also had been a member of the council of secession which voted for secession from the Union, and then he served as a colonel in the Confederate Army, commanding the 17th Alabama Infantry Regiment in the bloody battle of Corinth, Mississippi. But whether or not his flag continues to fly from various public buildings in the South is completely inconsequential in the face of other things which are happening in the South every day…

You know, the various organizations which are busy defending the Confederate flag today always assert that the flag is not a racist symbol. But of course, it is and always has been. My great-great-grandfather, Governor Watts, never heard the word “racist.” The Jews hadn’t invented it as a term of opprobrium yet. But by every common standard in use today he was a racist. Certainly not all, but many of his fellow Southerners did not approve of the institution of slavery. They would have been happy to be able to outlaw the institution and to ship every Negro and every mulatto and every quadroon to Africa and set them free. But to a man they were racists, by today’s media standards. They were racists because they recognized the simple fact of racial differences. Most of them had no animosity toward Blacks before the war: before the Blacks were turned loose to terrorize White Southerners. But if my great-great-grandfather or any other Southern gentleman had seen a Black male put his hands on a White woman or make a suggestive remark to a White woman, he would have drawn his sidearm and put a quick end to that Black without giving the matter a second thought. Of course, Northerners pretty well felt the same way about things. They were as much racists as the Southerners. There just weren’t any Southern gentlemen in the North — or many gentlemen of any sort — to keep things in order.

If we could use a time machine and go back in time 140 or 150 years and take with us a VCR and a monitor and a few video cassettes of recent Hollywood films or television shows or even news programs with street scenes in Montgomery and Atlanta and Richmond today and play them for my great-great-grandfather and a hundred or so of his most influential friends and explain to them that this is what the Jews would be saturating the consciousness of White Americans with in the future . . . well, if we could do that, they simply wouldn’t believe us. They wouldn’t believe that their descendants could become so degraded in a mere four or five generations as to permit such things to happen: so degraded as to acquiesce in such things. But if we somehow could convince them that our videotapes weren’t fraudulent, they would have understood that much more was at stake than political independence for the South. They would have understood that survival of the race was at stake, and they would have fought even harder and more valiantly than they did, because in those days there was no shame in fighting for one’s people, for one’s race. Anyway, I bring this up just as a reminder that we aren’t the only ones who have failed to focus on the really important issues at hand. Throughout history our people have been distracted by inconsequential issues and have neglected the crucial ones…

You may not like this part, Dave. I’m sure it does not apply to you just because you have participated in reenactions, but you may recognize some of those Pierce describes:

Here’s an example which ties in again to the Civil War. A lot of men — overaged kids, really — like to play soldier. They like to reenact various historic battles, and Civil War battles are among their favorites. They like to get out on the battlefield and pretend that they are members of real military units of the past — such as my great-great-grandfather’s 17th Alabama Infantry Regiment — and then they fire blanks at each other and maneuver around as they imagine it actually happened. They pride themselves greatly on the authenticity of their uniforms and equipment. They will spend thousands of dollars for various bits and pieces of uniforms, and they will pore over old dispatches and memoirs to make sure that they’ve got all of the details right — all of the details except one, that is: the mindset of the soldiers who actually fought the real battles. Talk to one of these Confederate make-believe soldiers sometime. The first thing he will assure you is that the fact he likes to play soldier in a Confederate uniform doesn’t mean he is a racist. No, no, no! Far from it! In fact, he will try to persuade you that the real Confederate soldiers weren’t racists either, but instead were models of Political Correctness. Fake ammunition and fake beliefs. No more integrity or honesty than most of the supporters of the Confederate flag. They cling to the trivial and deny the important.

I really have to hold my tongue when I talk with these people. But I do talk with them. An interest in history certainly is a healthier sign than no interest in history. So I talk with some of these make-believe soldiers about military history, and sometimes the conversation can be steered into more important matters…
