The only good Indian is a dead Indian, that much is clear; and the myth that before the arrival of the Europeans the Indians were a peaceful lot smoking the peace pipe the live long day is a myth as well. This continent has been drenched in blood from time out mind as the world has always been drenched in blood and as it always will be. The White men of our great race have always had the good fortune to be better than the other races and when it came to drowning our enemies in their own blood we were ever past masters; good for those good men who had the fortitude to do what is always necessary: live and prevail. But this great skill and art in conquering is now suspect in our lazy world even as they stick their pig snouts into the trough and avail themselves of the plenty that the White race and the White alone race created; in their hearts they know this is true so they have to promulgate a pie in the sky morality to say we were wrong for doing it. That is heroism and greatness is out of fashion as the pygmies rule our world. And now we have a nigger at the helm of our Defense Department and he is going to remove the honors form some great White men who killed some Indians. He is acting in the name of the Great Spirit In The Sky and raining down blood on our people. But we know that the only good Indian is a dead Indian after all, and he is burying the heart of our people.
“Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has directed a five-person panel to review the 20 Medals Of Honor that the Army awarded to soldiers for their actions at the Battle of Wounded Knee in South Dakota on December 29 1890. A senior defense official said on July 22 2024 that the goal is to ensure no soldier was recognized for conduct that did not merit recognition.”
Of course their actions merited recognition; they were the flower of our race engaged in a mopping up action against our enemies. The Indians day was long since done but some of them refused to recognize the inevitable. When a defeated people put up a meaningless last stand and try to live out past (and non-existent) glory there is no choice what do. And it was not smoke the peace pipe and live in dreams of harmony. By 1890 the Americans of the White race were just about to leap on the world stage and show that world the mettle we were made of, capable of enormous miracles of progress which should and could have led us right to the stars. No red men with silly names and barbaric customs ever could have been let to stand in the way of that. So they did what was required of them; and for that rare nobility now they have to pay “the price.”
“The events of Wounded Knee took place along a creek that lends its name to the massacre on the Pine Ridge Reservation in the southwest corner of South Dakota. While the events of that day are sometimes described as a battle, in fact the U.S. Army — amid a campaign to repress the tribes in the area — killed hundreds of unarmed members of the Lakota Sioux tribe, including many women and children, while attempting to disarm Native American fighters who had already surrendered at their camp. While there is dispute over the exact details of what prompted the violence in December 1890, it’s broadly agreed that shots started flying after two soldiers tried to take away a warrior’s rifle. A scuffle ensued, and the gun went off.”
You see that’s just it. There’s always a dispute. Out in the mists of memory the truth dies a million deaths, but here is what you need to know. The White man was advancing and some human rubbish was in the way. The White settlers called the conflict The Messiah War, and the Indians were losing ground rapidly but not rapidly enough. The Indians has their version of a Hail Mary that they called a Ghost Dance. Roughly defined that is when a bunch of savages who have been soundly, roundly, and abjectly defeated take to jumping up and down and crying in the hopes that a non-existent deity will come to their aid. The idea is that if enough of these savages jumped up and down in a pointless frenzy they would usher in an Indian Utopia and eradicate the White man from the land. As always the putative god remained silent and the Indians were forlorn in their tears. In the face of such ridiculous activities a few bullets are never out of place.
“When the dust settled, more than 300 Lakota — the vast majority of whom were women and children — were dead. The actions of the Army soldiers that day are often described as a massacre that became one of the deadliest acts of violence against Native Americans by U.S. troops. After the action, government leaders decided to award the nation’s highest military commendation to some of the soldiers. Most of the awards went to members of the Seventh Cavalry regiment. Some of the citations included praise for the soldiers who exhibited extraordinary gallantry and conspicuous bravery in action against Indians concealed in a ravine.”
It was a good reward for good job done. On the ground that day a medicine man (meaning a pointless human who supposedly had magical powers but really just spoke strange words and did nothing) named Yellow Bird harassed some of the soldiers and told some fellow savages that their shirts were bullet proof (they were not). Then someone named Black Coyote (who they say was deaf, but you know how them Indians lie) refused to give up his gun on command and the gun went off; soon shots were being fired by both sides and the White man, as is his wont, took that as his cue to begin the killing. Sounds like some sound and squared away men to me, you try to disarm a people who give their own ludicrous names like Plenty Horses and they balk; well, you don’t wait around for your death but inflict it on them. The old sage question is apropos: did they need a killing? You bet.
But now in a country that has to acknowledge it is on stolen ground every time they have a conclave, the august example of such men has fallen into disrepute. But we know where the fall has happened and it is not in us that continue to hold the flame alight and aloft. Of course our enemies will cry a million rivers and sing old lays about their hearts being buried at Wounded Knee; but pay it no mind, it’s just the sour grapes of misshapen so-called humans who have nothing else in their quiver except inflicting unjustified guilt. All we can do now is observe the perfidy, remember our ancestors and strive mightily to live up to their example. And when we are victorious as we will so surely be they can count on the fact that it won’t be their hearts that we bury. Gallantry demands it; and our innate chivalry will again have its day.
