- The mother of the late Ronald Lyle Goldman, Sharon Rufo, has put her portion of a civil judgment against O.J. Simpson up for auction. The original judgment award to the Brown and Goldman families was for 33.5 million back in 1997.
The families have collected little of that judgment in the last 17 years. Even though Goldman’s sister Kim Goldman has been the public face of the civil and criminal trials, it was her estranged mother, Sharon Rufo and her father Fred Goldman, along with Lou Brown, that were actually awarded the civl judgment.
The owner of the auction site Shawn Porat said that the judgment is worth $24.7 million after interest if factored in. There is no explanation of what exactly Rufo’s portion is. She was estranged from her children Kim and Ron Goldman. At the time of the 1994 murders, she had been estranged from her son for 14 years.
Kim Goldman has not any contact with her mother in over 30 years and says her mother just came around to cash in on her brother’s death. You can buy Rufo’s judgment on the site right now, for a million dollars. Simpson has been behind bars since 2008 for an armed robbery conviction in Las Vegas.
California dentist Dr. Craig Gordon is also selling a judgment on the site. He was awarded a judgment against his former patient, reality star Kim Kardashian. The site lists Gordon’s judgment being worth $3,503.13 and was awarded to him back in October of 2002. Years before Kardashian became a reality TV empire. There is 22 days left of this auction and 29 days for the Simpson judgment.
