"Serpent's Walk" - Legal 4 Alex Linder Make Into Audio Book?

Over at this link: https://vnnforum.com/showthread.php?t=551521 Alex Linder is well underway making a National Alliance owned book - Serpent's Walk - into an audio book. I did a little Internet search and what I came away with is that this is illegal, unless the copyright owners (the NA) gave him written permission to do so.

My question is, did they?

Mr. Linder is an outlaw. He thinks he can steal copyrighted material from those he attacks, for his own use, without consequences. He should do his stealing from someone other than NA.

Linder burnt any bridges he may have ever had with NA long ago. He allowed a documented, paid SPLC informant to smear the Alliance and its leadership in his forum for months just this year. Apologies are cheap.

Alex Linder just posted Chapter 25 of Serpent's Walk thirty-four minutes ago. Apparently he cannot be stopped from hijacking National Alliance property.

Once again, I did some Internet research, perusing various legal sites. If I understood correctly, it is still not legal to record copyrighted books even if you are not doing it for profit. Permission must first be granted by the copyright owner. So unless the National Alliance has done so, it appears to be illegal. By all accounts, Alex Linder is violating the law.
