TODAY IN HISTORY
1906: Reginald Aubrey Fessenden transmits the very first radio broadcast; consisting of a poetry reading, a violin solo, and a speech, from a transmitter in Brant Rock, Massachusetts. Prior to this time, all radio signals were in Morse Code only and not intended for reception by the public.
