Russia: US, UK spreading chaos in Syria through terrorist groups

"...Russia says the major US-led Western powers continue their hostile practices towards Syria by backing anti-Damascus militants and Takfiri terrorist groups across the Arab country.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in remarks on Thursday in Moscow blamed the United States, Britain and some other Western countries for spreading chaos through terrorist groups across Syria.

The support by the Western regimes for terrorist groups operating across Syria was no secret anymore and has fully been exposed, she said.

"Attempts to target the Syrian state, its sovereignty and independence have been ongoing for years by regimes hostile to international peace and security in general, and they have chosen Syria and are still clinging to it as a target for their ongoing and continuous aggression", Zakharova was quoted as saying.

She also reiterated that Russia's supportive stance towards Syria and its people has been the basis for ensuring security and stability in the West Asia region..."

Iran vows support for Syria amid terrorism resurgence, warns neighbors of 'trap'

"...Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has vowed to support Syria in its fight against terrorists after the resurgence of Takfiri terrorism in the Arab country. 

“The new movements of Takfiri-terrorist groups are part of the plot of the US and the illegitimate Zionist regime,” Qalibaf said on Friday in a post on his X account.

He urged the neighbors of Syria “to be vigilant and not to fall into their trap.”

“After defeating the Zionist regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of resistance will support the Syrian government and people against the new conspiracy like in the past,” Qalibaf stressed.

The Takfiri terrorists led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham launched a large-scale attack in Aleppo and Idlib provinces in the northwest of Syria on Wednesday, seizing several areas, according to some reports..."

Iran condemns terrorist attack on its consulate in Syria

"...Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has strongly condemned an attack by armed terrorist groups on the Islamic Republic’s consulate building in Syria’s northwestern city of Aleppo, stressing that Tehran will take legal action against the assault.

Baghaei made the remarks in a statement on Saturday, after Iran said that "terrorist elements" had attacked its consulate in Aleppo during an offensive in the area, following the resurgence of Takfiri terrorism in the Arab country.

He further denounced as “unacceptable” any violation of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (1963), which prohibits such attacks against diplomatic premises and representatives.

The top Iranian diplomat further noted that all consulate staff members were safe and in good health..."

Syria rejects allegations of withdrawing from northern city

"...Syria dismisses allegations of the country’s forces withdrawal from the northern city of Hama in the face of foreign-backed Takfiri terrorists, considering such claims to be part of a "media war" aimed at tarnishing Damascus’ ongoing and successful counterterrorism efforts.

In a statement on Saturday, the Syrian defense ministry said the forces were positioned on the city’s northern and eastern countryside, asserting, "Towns near Hama have not been entered".

It, therefore, urged citizens "not to believe rumors published by opposition media".

Video footage emerging from the battlefields also showed Syrian soldiers confirming their ongoing deployment in the city.

The General Command of the Syrian Army, meanwhile, described allegations to the contrary as a "coordinated media war aimed at undermining the morale of our people and our valiant army"..."

Rumors of Coup in Damascus Nothing but Psywar

"... There have been widespread rumors and reports of a military coup in the Syrian capital, but they are all unfounded and the city remains calm, according to a Tasnim correspondent.

Tasnim’s Salma Awdah, who is in Damascus, says the city is calm and rumors of a coup d'état are just a psychological operation by the terrorists and their supporters to break the resistance and advance further.

Since a few hours ago, media outlets linked to terrorist groups and Syrian rebels have been reporting that a military coup has taken place in Damascus but the Tasnim correspondent dismissed the reports as baseless..."

Terrorists aid Israeli aims in Syria

"...Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allied terrorist factions based in Idlib and Latakia countrysides began assaults on the northwestern Aleppo governate as soon as a ceasefire came into effect between Lebanon's Hezbollah Resistance movement and Israel. Reports say the terrorists have so far captured about 40 percent of Aleppo, with the Syrian army appearing to have been caught off guard by the sudden attacks that were not supposed to happen under the Astana Peace Process.  

Photos and footage published by the terrorists show a big majority of them are not even Syrian, with fighters from Uzbekistan, China, and even Ukraine joining the HTS led by a figure linked to Al-Qaeda.

Syria retakes key northern highway, surroundings; kills dozens more terrorists

"...The Syrian military has retaken a key highway near the northern city of Hama as well as all the towns and villages surrounding it, besides killing dozens more Takfiris trying to enable resurgence of terrorism in the Arab country’s northern areas.

On Monday, the forces seized back of the highway linking the cities of Mahardeh and Suqaylabiyah near Hama, and all its adjacent towns and villages, including Karnaz, Tal Malah, al-Jalamah, Jabbin, Hayalin, and Sheikh Hadid, Syrian media outlets reported.

They also retook several other towns that had temporarily fallen under Takfiri control..."
