Israel shifts frontline deeper into Gaza, strikes hit families trapped inside


"...Local authorities say the Israeli military has expanded the so-called "yellow line" truce demarcation in Gaza City and repositioned its forces deeper into the territory in violation of a ceasefire agreement that came into force on October 10, besieging dozens of Palestinian families.

Gaza's Government Media Office announced in a statement on Thursday that Israeli forces widened the boundary by shifting the markers, and advanced roughly 300 meters (984 feet) into the neighborhoods of Ash-Shaaf, An-Nazzaz and Baghdad Street.

The move pushed further into civilian areas, trapping families who were unable to flee as tanks rolled forward, it added.

"The fate of many of these families remains unknown amidst the shelling that targeted the area", the office said, adding that the expansion of the yellow line shows a "blatant disregard" for the ceasefire deal..."

"...ON THE MORNING of October 13th, Zaher Ibrahim desperately tried to find his son among the dozens of newly freed Palestinians streaming from Red Cross buses in the occupied West Bank city of Beitunia.

Zaher’s son, Mohammed Ibrahim, a 16-year-old Palestinian American, was swept up by Israeli forces during a dawn raid at their home in the village of al-Mazra’a ash-Sharqiya in February. The Israeli military charged Mohammed with throwing a rock and striking a car driven by an Israeli settler, an accusation he and his family deny.

While Israel has not publicly provided evidence, Mohammed has spent the last eight months in Israeli prisons awaiting a trial that has been repeatedly postponed. Mohammed has been barred from speaking with his family, who have continued to push for his release. And after learning that he suffered a scabies infection and severe weight loss, Mohammed’s family has begun to fear for his life.

The U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, which freed nearly 2,000 Palestinians from detention, appeared to be the breakthrough Zaher and his wife Mona Ibrahim had so desperately awaited..."

Israel facing 'epidemic of infiltration and espionage': Iran's intelligence minister


"...Iran's intelligence minister says Israel is facing "an epidemic of infiltration and espionage for Iran within its own institutions", citing the recent arrest of an Israeli Air Force officer accused of spying for Tehran. 

Esmaeil Khatib made the remarks during a provincial visit to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad on Saturday, after the Israeli regime indicted a 22-year-old Israeli soldier on charges of conducting spying activities for Iran, including transferring sensitive information on a military site to an "Iranian handler".

Khatib said that Israeli authorities had acknowledged the detention of the officer, adding that "classified nuclear and high-value security documents were transferred to Iran".

He also stated that this development demonstrates "the capability and strength of the Iranian military, intelligence, and security systems"..."
