"...In a race traditionally focused on housing costs, public safety, and transit, the 2025 New York mayoral race has become a battleground for international politics, particularly the Palestinian cause.

Legal Action Filed in London Against Gideon Sa'ar for Role in Gaza Atrocities

"...An arrest warrant is being urgently sought for a senior member of Israel's security cabinet, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar during his visit to the UK. The charges focus in particular on the siege of Kamal Adwan Hospital at the end of 2024, which culminated in the abduction and torture of the hospital director, Dr Hussam Abu Safiyeh.

With support from medical doctors, the Global Legal Action Network and the Hind Rajab Foundation have formally submitted a request to the UK’s Attorney General and Director of Public Prosecutions seeking their consent to make an application for an arrest warrant for Mr Sa'ar.

An application for his arrest warrant has been prepared for Westminster Magistrate Court. It is alleged that he aided and abetted torture and grave breaches of international humanitarian law in Palestine including torture, wilful killing and extensive destruction of property. Mr Sa'ar was seen boarding a plane for the UK earlier on April 14th and it is reported that he met with UK government officials including the Foreign Secretary, David Lammy on April 15th.

The prosecution would be brought by GLAN and the Hind Rajab Foundation, along with partners who cannot be currently named for security reasons, with evidence from a group of doctors who are in Gaza or have worked extensively there. A police complaint has been filed with the London Metropolitan Police by the human rights groups..."

Joining Brandt on the panel was Dana Stroul, formerly the highest-ranking civilian overseeing Middle East issues in the Biden administration’s Department of Defense. Stroul made it clear that defending Israel’s strategic imperatives from within the US government was a top priority, arguing that Washington should deepen its "mutually beneficial" special relationship with its "strong partner" in Tel Aviv. 

Stroul dismissed the bloodbath in Gaza as the result of supposed Hamas tactics, which supposedly aim to maximize the number of children killed by Israel..."

Hoenlein calls for global conference to combat surge of Jew-hatred

As a wave of antisemitism surged across the Western world following the Hamas-led Oct. 7, 2023, massacre of some 1,200 Jews and Israel's ensuing war against the terrorist group in Gaza, experts gathered to discuss the origins of antisemitism and actions needed to curb the trend.

"We are spending well into the nine figures, and there has to be a time now for accountability, for people to do a zero-sum analysis of where this money is going", Hoenlein said.

"They [antisemites] are targeting every sector. We see it in political processes, in communal organizations and the educational sector. We are focused on campuses, and many people have done remarkable work", he added..."

ICJ to begin hearings on 'Israel's' blockade, Gaza humanitarian crisis

"...The International Court of Justice (ICJ) will begin a week-long series of hearings on Monday to examine "Israel's" humanitarian obligations toward Palestinians, as the Gaza Strip endures over 50 days under a total blockade that has halted the entry of vital aid.

The ICJ hearings on Gaza will open at 10:00 am (0800 GMT) in The Hague, starting with a submission from Palestinian representatives, followed by arguments from 38 countries, including the United States, China, France, Russia, and Saudi Arabia.

The League of Arab States, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the African Union are also expected to present their positions before the 15-judge panel..."
