'At any point, this war could start again'

Israeli drone strike injures three in southern Lebanon amid fragile ceasefire

"...At least three people have been reportedly injured in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon less than a day after a truce deal took effect between the regime and the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

The attack took place near a vehicle in the village of Markaba in southern Lebanon on Thursday, Israeli Army Radio reported without giving more details.

Far-right Israeli minister calls for resettlement in Gaza after ICC arrest warrants

Hezbollah not defeated, not close to being defeated: Israeli media

Over 60 British MPs call for 'comprehensive sanctions' on Israel

"...More than 60 British lawmakers from across seven parties have called on British Foreign Secretary David Lammy to impose "comprehensive sanctions" on Israel over its "repeated violations of international law".

Organized by lawmakers Richard Burgon and Imran Hussain, the letter was sent to Lammy on Wednesday night, reports aid on Thursday.

The letter cited the International Court of Justice (ICJ)'s advisory opinion from July, which declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories unlawful and demanded the Tel Aviv regime end the occupation immediately.

"The court also found that all states, including the UK, have obligations to not recognize as legal the situation arising from the unlawful presence of Israel in the occupied Palestinian territory and to not render any aid or assistance in maintaining this", the letter read..."

ICC prosecutor says no legal basis to suspend warrants for Israeli officials

"...Karim Khan said on Friday that Israel’s appeal against arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant should be dismissed.

On Wednesday, Israel filed a challenge directly to the Appeals Chamber, as well as another appeal to the ICC’s Pre-Trial Chamber – which issued the warrant.

Israel’s legal team has argued the ICC’s investigation and warrants are procedurally flawed, and it requested a suspension of the warrants during the appeal process.

But in a statement published on the ICC’s website, the court’s chief prosecutor Khan argued that Israel’s challenge to the Appeals Chamber does not meet the criteria for doing so under the Rome Statute and the proceedings should be discontinued.

Khan said an appeal could potentially be heard later in the process, arguing that “the Pre-Trial Chamber is the appropriate forum to address this issue”. He also argued that there are no grounds to suspend the warrants in the meantime..."
