1945: The “Allied Control Council,” a military occupation dictatorship in which the German people had no voice and which was a joint operation of Stalin’s Soviet Union and the Western “allies,” formally takes power in Germany. Among its first acts are a total disarmament of Germans (gun ownership was widespread in National Socialist Germany), absolute censorship of all media, destruction of millions of “forbidden” books, and the forcible relocation of tens of millions of Germans, causing widespread death.
