You can sail to the stars or you can wallow in the mud but if you cater to the mud people it will always be the latter, never the former. The anti-White zealots make a big show about "ways of knowing" because they don't want us to know anything; they want us to abandon reason and lower standards and get rid of testing so the nation collapses in a Jew run favela ridden heap; you can sail to the stars or you can wallow in the mud, you can have millennia of careful reasoning and thought and research, brilliant insight, and organizational genius to probe the truths of nature; or you can have an Indian Shaman dipping in to the Ayahuasca, or an African witch doctor tossing albino bones in to the cauldron; you can have a White scientist precisely dissecting empirical evidence or an indigenous fool feeling the vibrations. That is there is only one way of knowing, but many ways to bring civilization the brink of an apocalypse.

What should be boutique ideologies native to professorial slime muttering in the corner on campus have become more than mainstream, they have become official Regime Dogma. For a while they were relegated to the Social Sciences and the Humanities but now they are crossing the final and fatal bright line and are migrating into the sciences. Now lab coated technicians and star gazing scholars have to give the nod to the merciless savages from whom we wrested the land; and they have to say that reason and empiricism are not the only way to know things, and they are probably not the best way. Sure, they have led to unprecedented success but that was mostly due to how the White man stole all of nature's secrets from the black, brown, and red man. And so they have to acknowledge that the beautiful observatory in which they work stands on the land of the defeated people and rightfully belongs to them, not us; and to admit that a psilocybin or mescalin trance is as good a way to discover knowledge as careful work in the laboratory--and probably better.
"One little-noticed reform at the National Science Foundation (NSF): Pursuant to Biden’s first-ever executive order, Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government, the NSF dutifully published an Equity Action Plan detailing its eagerness to encourage the full participation of all Americans and to remove barriers to their success."
One thing you can be sure of is that under the seemingly innocent rubric of "all Americans" White people will most conspicuously and definitely not be included. They would like to say they are encouraging the participation of all non-White Americans (for that is what they mean) but they can't quite yet be that blatant. Everyone knows what they mean but they want to glide by under the fiction for a bit longer. When Whites excluded blacks that was discrimination; but when the colored exclude Whtie people that is affirmative action and justice. Got it honky?
"What that meant, among other things, was mandating Indigenous community acknowledgments — also known as land acknowledgments — as part of its programmatic agreements (PA) for some of its astronomical facilities, requiring scientists who use specific sites to include said acknowledgments in their published research."
These land acknowledgments are the coming thing. It's when someone (preferably a White man so the humiliation ritual is complete) gets up at an event and says he is standing on stolen land, that the idea of Manifest Destiny was manifestly evil, that the Oregon Trail was a trail of red tears, that the conquest of a continent was the pathway to hell. After admitting this the White man will look suitably lugubrious, tuck his tail between his legs, and exit the stage of history dressed in funeral black.
"In addition, NSF has apparently begun developing a land acknowledgment statement that could be used at the outset of NSF meetings and conferences in general. The plan assures readers that NSF’s Tribal Consultation and Engagement Working Group (TCE) will track progress by ensuring that the land acknowledgment statement is increasingly used in NSF meetings and conference."
Apologizing to the red man is one more plank of the campaign of White Genocide. Of course we have nothing to apologize for, in fact we should get up at events and celebrate running roughshod over them, of running them off the land, and getting them the hell out. We should say that our only real regret was not making the genocide and holocaust complete by exterminating that them down to the last man, woman, and child. If so, they would not be rubbernecking now at the scene of their desolation. They would not sing a different tune, but no tune at all.
"It is important to understand the longstanding history that has brought you to reside on the land, and to seek to understand your place within that history. Land acknowledgements do not exist in a past tense, or historical context: colonialism is a current ongoing process, and we need to build our mindfulness of our present participation."
Believe it or not one stooge at the NSF compiled a list of telescopes on stolen land informing readers that it is abundantly clear that modern astronomy is the product of settler colonialism. Modern astronomy is the product of centuries of White intelligence, initiative and drive. If we took some land from them that ended up housing there the technological marvel that is the modern observatory so be it--to say the least. If they had that land perhaps they'd build a tee pee or do a stupid ritual dance in the hopes of appeasing the dark forces of nature, forces which would remain obstinately indifferent to their obsequious pleadings. The fact of the matter is that if pushed to decide no one but a few outlying freaks would forego any of the advances that White Science has provided in the name of what should be a long-forgotten people. Thus this is nothing but moral grandstanding and power plays to have their people be ascendant and ours diminished. We should take it seriously on that basis but as an actual moral argument--which underlies their grab for power---it's a bad joke.
"NSF itself, in keeping with its new equity agenda, now mandates land acknowledgments for researchers publishing work on data collected in whole or in part from a set of telescopes located on Native Hawaiian land. One of those, the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope — the largest solar telescope in the world — apparently kicked off its inauguration with an opening pule (prayer) in accordance with Hawaiian cultural protocol."
A pule (it will make you want to puke) is some brown skinned alien standing there wearing what looks to be a toga made of foliage and wailing some sounds that are indecipherable to anyone civilized. It sounds vaguely like the sound of a moose dying and he keeps warbling like this inconsequentially for a few minutes until the fake magic is done. Back in the enlightenment their credo was "dare to know" so this is just embarrassing. That in a place of White science they would stoop to the level of such backward and anachronistic maunderings augers poorly for the great adventures of the future we are supposed to seek out.
"Another, NSF’s NOIRLab, trumpets its critical and proactive work in serving as stewards of the aina (land) and lani (sky), and deeply recognizes the reverence of the land’s native Hawaiian community. In addition, the NSF outpost adds, a strong emphasis on the attentiveness of the aina and preserving the dark lani is of paramount importance to NOIRLab."
They say when Cook sailed in the Polynesians were still on their eastward migration but that sounds more impressive than it is. Had they ever managed to reach the North American continent they would have just joined the Indians in stagnating and face painting until the Whtie man arrived and whipped the land in to shape. When Cook sailed into Hawaiian harbors the natives took him to be a White divine being and they were not wrong. From their benighted perspective they were gods and were god like, with powers of mind totally unknown to them. Now the avatars of White science and power have to pretend that the "dark lani" is a real thing, and that some vague supplications to land and sky will bless an endeavor which emanates form our minds and greatness.
"Knowledge is regarded by the Biden administration as only one of many ways of knowing, and probably not the best one, either. The same equity agenda that produced the land acknowledgments has also sought to replace science — true science, as expressed best by traditional Western institutions — with a hodgepodge of vaguely New Age, vaguely premodern Indigenous ways of knowing."
Outside of a few lunatic and hardened true believers everyone knows this is a cross between poppycock and claptrap. Just ask them if they want their surgery or their car to be engineered by ways of knowing that are based on a shoeless fellow with grease paint on his face wailing nonsense to the gods. You'll find out really quick what they believe in.
"Take the new White House Indigenous Knowledge guidance sheet, which writes: At times, Western science has been used as a tool to oppress Tribal Nations and Indigenous Peoples. But Indigenous Knowledge, on the other hand, has been historically marginalized in scientific communities and excluded from research and academic resources, funding, and other opportunities."
Yes indeed indigenous knowledge (such as it is) has been left on the ash heap of history, has been marginalized and for the most part (until recently) justly forgotten. Lysenkoism was big in the Soviet Union for ideological reasons but eventually it was jettisoned. People once believed that the earth was 4004 years old, and that the stars were pin pricks in a dome, people believed in special creation for humanity, and they believed that fairies and elves inhabited hills and dales. But eventually people began to ask that always pesky question: is it true? And now they wail and bellyache that some root gathering people whose idea of science was to stomp on the ground to make rain, or smoke the pipe to burn incense to the spirit in the sky, are not in the mainstream of research, they want such childlike foolishness to be in footnotes and referenced with reverence in the march towards knowledge.
"Indigenous knowledge or ways of knowing are just references to the body of observations, oral and written knowledge, innovations, practices, and beliefs developed by Tribes and Indigenous Peoples, based in the ethical foundations espoused by those tribes, as the White House’s guidance sheet details."
No, it's just utter an total balls. The fact that the White House emits such degraded horse feathers tells you all you need to know about the state of play in the Current Year.
"It is abundantly clear that modern astronomy is the product of settler colonialism. The driving force of observational astrophysics is the application of advanced telescopes, housed in observatories, that reside on lands previously and presently occupied by Indigenous peoples. Creation of these astronomical instruments that have so greatly advanced our field is the result of neglect and violent displacement of tribal communities native to the land on which our telescopes now stand. Despite our continual usage of native lands for our science, our community makes little reference to the people who are directly impacted by the advancement of astronomy."
Observatories are the vanguard of science; through them we can see the past and imagine the future. The fact that they want some kind of credit because perhaps many centuries ago they wandered as vagabonds on these lands is risible on its face. The observatory is so far advanced over what they could ever hope to have achieved with their wigwams and their arrows makes this whole movement absurd to the point of nullity.
"This, however, is exactly the point of this web page: to amplify the experiences and histories of the Native people who preceded the multitude of observatories around the world. The hope is that by knowing exactly who is harmed in the creation of specific scientific instruments, we as astronomers will be conscious of the immense sacrifices made for our scientific gain and spread this understanding by directly acknowledging Indigenous people in mediums of scientific discovery e.g., papers, talks, classes and more."
This is a brief history of a mania; if left unchecked and it will cause us to go under. Science can't be racist, science can't be colonial, science can be nothing other than true of false. Science can fail but it will always recover to reach the next level. How appropriate that they have picked astronomy as their initial province in this mad scramble for so called racial justice. Because the White race's future is in the stars, if such White future there will be. But you can sail to the to the stars only if you are left alone to seek the knowledge you can attain; if you are clapped about the legs by and held back by guilt or by insanity, or by the million dark hands of a dark people you like them will do nothing but wallow in the mud.
