A Foul Spirit

Bill Buckley once stood on top of history and told it to stop.

History paid him no mind.

He had defined a conservative as one who stands athwart history and yells stop! In fact of course what a conservative once was was one who stood in front of history waving his hands and immediately got steamrolled by it. Now a conservative is one who walks at deferent distance behind history and obsequiously asks it if it might not move a little slower.

Or he just admits defeat, hops on board, and tries to enjoy the ride.

George W. Bush is one of those mealy mouthed traditionalists who is doing everything in his power to do away with anything traditional. We recently saw his big coffee table book extolling the virtues of a mixed race future and bringing in millions of the genetically defective to feed off the carcass of our country as it slides slowly into oblivion.

"Former President George W. Bush says the United States has the responsibility and resources to help Afghan refugees and should secure safe passage for them now, without bureaucratic delay."

"Mr. Bush said the U.S. government has the legal authority to cut the red tape for refugees in order to help during urgent humanitarian crises."

We saw Bush at the Trump inaugural telling his new best bud Hilary Clinton---"that was some weird shit." Of course Trump turned out to be just another ruling class stooge if one who occasionally submitted a minority report in rhetoric only. But it must have been an ordeal to sit five feet from a newly elected vulgarian as he told the world that you and your friends decimated this once great country in order to elevate and enrich your class.

Afterwards the dude who married the gay mulatto Barack Obama gave Bush a big bear hug from behind, it was all smiles among the upper types. By hugging him the message from the broad shouldered man was we can't let democracy die in darkness and we have to accept this guy you once called a fascist--he's on our side now.

Democracy of course should have been strangled in its crib, killed in its egg.

The former first gentleman was saying: "he aint heavy--he's our collaborator."

Bush has been spending his twilight years busily building up his establishment bona fides.

"Bigotry seems emboldened; our politics seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication.”

Liars don't like the truth--they know truth is their Achilles heel.

“We’ve seen nationalism distorted into nativism – forgotten the dynamism that immigration has always brought to America. We see a fading confidence in the value of free markets and international trade – forgetting that conflict, instability, and poverty follow in the wake of protectionism.”

Ah, he neoliberal pantheon. Free trade and free immigration, get the people and the goods flowing freely and soon alienation and rootlessness will make any resistance to their fiendish rule an impossibility. Toss in endless wars and you have a Satanic trifecta.

Of course this was a man who in 2000 ran on a platform which firmly embraced the New America, and who said it was both a great and a good thing that you could be in Miami and have the feeling you were in the dirtiest barrio of Tijuana.

He's also the man who said in a debate in 2000 that profiling Muslims was un-American, something which soon shot to the top of the infamous list of famous last words.

"But we can’t wish globalization away, any more than we could wish away the agricultural revolution or the industrial revolution. One strength of free societies is their ability to adapt to economic and social disruptions.”
Learn to code bigots! Adapt, and live in a pod and eat bugs as we sterilize you with our medicine shots. As if globalization was not a ruling class choice, as if it was simply force majeure, as if we could no more stop its malign force than we could the gale force winds of a hurricane.

Could King Canute stop the waves? No, and you can't stop your community from being over run by brown hordes, your from daughter being hooked on opioids, or that giant sucking sound taking your job to overseas coolies. So suck it up and buck up bigot!

"American identity is not determined by geography or ethnicity, by soil or blood.”

That is true. We can see the disaster that has ensued from this when you turn on the TV and see that black man canoodling with the White woman, or when that Mexican walks in that church and leaves the blood of White people all over the floor.

“This means that people of every race, religion, and ethnicity can be fully and equally American. It means that bigotry or white supremacy in any form is blasphemy against the American creed.”

The American Creed is a blasphemy against White people.

"Former President George W. Bush today called for moral leadership to steer America away from trends such as nativism, isolationism, bigotry and casual cruelty.”

When the nativists and the isolationists come into power you can be sure there will be noting casual abut the cruelty.

And now on the 20th anniversary of the event which allowed him to sink our people's blood and money into endless wars for no apparent purpose he has once more chosen to slander the good White people of this country. You can be sure Mr. Michelle Obama gave him a big atta' boy when she heard it.

In the end the Ruling Class always closes ranks.

They don't have our good in mind.

"At a time when religious bigotry might have flowed freely, I saw Americans reject prejudice and embrace people of Muslim faith. That is the nation I know. At a time when nativism could have stirred hatred and violence against people perceived as outsiders, I saw Americans reaffirm their welcome to immigrants and refugees. That is the nation I know."
We let in more Muslims after 9/11 than we did before, which surely somewhere shot to the top of the list of famous last things a stupid country ever did.

"There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home. But in their disdain for pluralism, in their disregard for human life, in their determination to defile national symbols, they are children of the same foul spirit. And it is our continuing duty to confront them."

They just took down a majestic statue of Robert E. Lee, Columbus statues fall every minute, pictures of White judges are removed from Court rooms, names of great White men are removed from institutions, soon we'll have Tubmans in our wallets, but some admittedly undisciplined patriots rifled through Nancy Pelosi's panty drawer in her Congressional Office and that was defiling national symbols.

When the President of Venezuela spoke after Bush at the United Nations he remarked after that he had smelled some sulfur up there at the podium.

And now we know it's true because every time this foul spirit opens his lying mouth he emits those noxious fumes.

It's time we shut it, for certainly some fumigation is in order because pluralism is the choice of the suicidal.

The nation he knows doesn't stand a chance.
