Russian Ministry of Culture: Multiculti and Tolerance Must be Banned as "Nontraditional" Values

On April, 3 contents of the new “Fundamentals of the state cultural policy” developed by the Russian Ministry of Culture were announced in Russian media.

Drafters believe that the basis of cultural policy should be based on the “Russia is not Europe” statement. They also call to abandon the principles of multiculturalism and tolerance and all projects that are not consistent with the traditional values should be deprived of state support. “Russia should be considered as a unique and distinctive civilization, which can not be reduced either to “the West” or to “the East”.

Brief statement of this position is the thesis “Russia is not Europe”, confirmed by the whole history of the country and its people”, Infobox reports, quoting Interfax news agency.

“It seems appropriate to include in the document the thesis of renouncing the principles of multiculturalism and tolerance. Preserving a single cultural code requires rejection of state support for cultural projects which impose alien to society values,” the document says.

“Any reference to “creative freedom” and “national identity” can not justify behavior which is considered unacceptable from the standpoint of traditional Russian values. This is not meant to limit the freedom of expression and the rights of citizens, but requires denial of state support for people and communities, demonstrating behaviour contrary to the cultural norms”, the drafters write.

Alien values, according to the authors of the document, lead to “mental distress, which is manifested through an increase in crimes, alcoholism, drug addiction, through the increase in the number of suicides and abandoned children, through increased morbidity and mortality”.

The draft also says that representatives of contemporary art, whose work contradict the traditional values, can not count on state support. Projects should be selected in conjunction with the expert community, the drafters believe. “As a minimum, such art should not receive government support. As a maximum, the state should prevent [its] negative impact on public consciousness”, the text says.

In general, it is proposed to develop the cultural policy based on “civilization” principle, which the authors believe to be the opposite of the “liberal pro-Western” approach which supposedly idealizes Western path of development.
The document was signed by First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Aristarkhov and submitted for consideration to the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation . The project will also be presented to the public later in April.

100,000 march as Moscow revives May Day tradition

MOSCOW (AP) — About 100,000 people have marched through Red Square to celebrate May Day, the first time the annual parade has been held on the vast cobblestoned square outside the Kremlin since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.

In keeping with Soviet-era traditions, Thursday's parade was organized by trade unions and honored the working man. But it also celebrated Russia's annexation of Crimea and was seen as part of President Vladimir Putin's efforts to stoke patriotic feelings.

Marchers held up signs saying "Let's go to Crimea for vacation" and "Putin is right." Russian flags fluttered through the crowd.

In past years, Communists and others have tried to keep up the May Day tradition with parades and rallies in central Moscow, but their numbers have steadily dwindled.

Putin signs law criminalizing public rehabilitation of Nazism

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law a bill imposing criminal liability for public rehabilitation of Nazism. The law imposes a fine of up to 500,000 rubles or imprisonment for up to five years.

The relevant amendments have been made to the Russian Criminal and Criminal Proceedings Codes. The Rehabilitation of Nazism article has been added to the Criminal Code.

It reads: "Denial of the facts established by the international military tribunal for trying and punishing the main war criminals from the European nations of the Axis, approval of the crimes established by the said verdict, and the spread of knowingly false information about the Soviet activities during the Second World War, coupled with a public accusation of committing the crimes established by the said verdict, will be penalized by a fine of up to 300,000 rubles or imprisonment of up to three years."

Tougher sanctions are proposed for the same in the event of an abuse of public office or mass media, "as well as an artificial creation of the prosecution's evidence."

Migrants face deportation from Russia for any premeditated crime

A group of Russian lawmakers seek to amend the current laws on migration in order to deport any foreigner convicted of a premeditated crime, with a subsequent ban on entering Russian territory.

The two sets of amendments have been prepared separately by MP Roman Khudyakov of the nationalist party LDPR and by the legislature of the central Russia Republic of Bashkortostan, together with MP Raphael Mardanshin of the centrist conservative party United Russia.

Khudyakov’s bill suggests levying an additional 50,000-ruble (about US$1400) fine on all immigrants convicted of a premeditated crime. Repeated premeditated crime is punishable by deportation and a 15-year ban on entering Russia, Nezavisimaya Gazeta daily reports. The deputy told the press he would submit the draft to the State Duma before the end of June.

The Bashkortostan-Mardanshin bill, which is already being studied by State Duma experts, also suggests deporting all foreigners convicted of a premeditated crime, but specifies that this should be done after they serve their sentences in Russia.

Earlier this week, the head of the Federal Migration Service, Konstantin Romodanovsky, said his agency had already issued three-year entry bans on 802,000 foreigners over their criminal activities, and also for exceeding their maximum terms of stay.

The official specified that most of these people were citizens of the former Soviet republics who enjoy visa-free entry to Russia because their countries remain in the CIS political bloc. Last week the head of the Moscow city anti-corruption department told the press that in the first four months of 2014 law enforcers deported 40,000 foreigners from Russia and barred 45,000 foreigners from entering the country.

Russia ranks second among nations by the number of migrants that reside on its territory, according to the UN study released in September 2013. The total number of migrants in Russia is estimated at about 2 million.

Many Russian politicians address the issue, both due to emerging problems and for purely populist purposes. The most popular initiative is to restrict entry for people with criminal connections, like a bill drafted last October, in which MP Igor Igoshin of the United Russia party proposed a halt on the issue of work permits to foreigners with a criminal record of any kind.

Putin meets with influential Rabbis

“I am closely tracking what is happening in Israel,” Russian President Vladimir Putin remarked in a meeting on Wednesday with a delegation of Chief Rabbis and representatives of the Rabbinical Center of Europe.

The purpose of the meeting, according to the Kremlin, was to discuss joint efforts to prevent the rewriting of history, the fight against neo-Nazism and neo-fascism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism. [...]

According a news report, Putin replied by asking Rabbi Yosef to pass along a message to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Russia is a true friend of Israel and of the Prime Minister.



“I support Israel’s battle that is intended to keep its citizens protected,” he said about the Israel Defense Forces’ operation to restore quiet to the region and stop Hamas terrorism.

Europe's Far Right And Putin Get Cozy, With Benefits For Both

Last month at a meeting of the far-right National Front in the French city of Lyon, there was a special guest: Andrey Isayev, a member of Russian President Vladimir Putin's political party.

The apparent contradiction of political philosophies didn't seem to dampen the crowd's enthusiasm for Isayev's message: Long live Franco-Russian friendship, and down with the European Union! Isayev called the EU a "spineless lackey of the United States."

While Putin says he is standing against fascism in Ukraine, he's had no qualms about cozying up to Europe's far right. Analysts say the growing bond between Putin and far-right European politicians could benefit to both sides.

Pierre Lellouche, a member of a mainstream conservative party, the Union for a Popular Movement, says the far right is attracted by Putin's Russia because it embodies the traditional social values they feel Europe has abandoned.

"In Russia today there is a mix of exalting nationalism, exalting the church and Christian values," says Lellouche. "They are now replacing the red star with the cross, and they are representing themselves as the ultimate barrier against the Islamization of the continent."

Marine Le Pen, head of the National Front, has made no secret of her admiration for Putin and has traveled to Moscow on several occasions. It seems to have paid off. Last month a Russian bank lent the National Front $11 million.

Le Pen has defended the loan, saying French banks had refused to help her party. That may be so, says Sylvain Crepon, who studies the French far right. But Crepon doesn't believe a loan from a bank with ties to Putin came about by chance.

"Putin is a kind of model for Marine Le Pen," says Crepon. "For her, he has a natural authority. And he's not afraid to stand up to the United States. And this is something very important for Le Pen and her party."

The National Front is not alone in its admiration for the strong Russian president.

Nigel Farage, the head of UKIP, Britain's far-right party, called Putin one of the world leaders he admires most. When Russia annexed Crimea last March, Le Pen and Austria's far-right FPO party defended the move as legitimate. Putin even invited a handful of European far-right leaders to observe the separatist referendum in Crimea.

There are clear reasons for the Russian leadership's sudden interest in the far right.

The political elite are angry at the West for imposing sanctions on Russia over its involvement in Ukraine. So they support these right-wing movements because they think they can be of use in Russia's confrontation with the European Union and the United States.

Boris Kagarlitskiy, head of the Institute for Globalization Studies and Social Movements, a Moscow-based think tank, says the kind of loan the National Front got from a Russian bank would never fly in Russia.

"If any foreign bank gave loans to a Russian political party, it would have been illegal, or at least it would have been an issue which could lead to a lot of scandal," says Kagarlitskiy.

Furthermore, any Russian party would have to register as a "foreign agent," which is practically equivalent to being a spy.

Back in Western Europe, the fortunes of the far right have been boosted by rising immigration and sagging economies. Russia clearly hopes to work with an empowered far right to help weaken European unity. The Kremlin may also be trying to appeal to more mainstream cultural conservatives in Europe.

In keeping with tradition, there's a giant Christmas tree outside of Paris' Notre Dame Cathedral. But for the first time, the tree wasn't purchased by local businesses and parishioners. This year it was a gift from the Russian government. A Russian diplomat called it a symbol of unity between Christian peoples. Some Parisians were outraged.

Others, like Michel Onre, shrugged it off.

"We all know Putin is aligning with the far right because he wants to divide and weaken Europe," he says. Onre says he hates that. But, he asks, "Is there really any harm in Putin buying France a Christmas tree?"

If they've been listening with their ears on they would know the NA under Pierce, and the NA now with yourself and Kevin Strom have been the Vanguard of the Far-Right groups in America. A lot of other Far-Right groups like to call themselves the "Vanguard" of the Pro-White movement, but honestly speaking, compared to the National Alliance, they are the Rear-Guard, or middle guard at best. No other group disseminates the kind of information that the National Alliance does. I can't count the number of times I hear other "Pro-White" groups talking about info that was first released as a National Alliance article written by William Pierce or someone else in the NA organization. It seems like whenever a new article is posted on Nationalvanguard.org, I hear the certain excerpts from the contents of those articles being mentioned on other pro-white media. Most of the time they repeat phrases and information found in these articles word for word so you have a pretty good idea where they got their intelligence from. It's obvious they read NationalVanguard.org's articles and the works of William Pierce, but sadly they rarely give credit to the source or pay homage to the author. I see this type of intellectual dishonesty quite often and sometimes it angers me. I don't think there is anything with learning from the National Alliance and sharing you knowledge, but people should be honest about where they are getting their information. It's not as if these ideas magically pop into their minds in a vacuum. Ever since the "Background to Treason" series of articles that were written by Dr. Pierce where published on Nationalvanguard.org, I've been hearing the facts of those articles being talked about in other far-right groups, as if they suddenly had a revelation on the history of the Jews in the U.S. and Europe overnight.

Also I might add, Kevin Strom's commentary about the current Russian government and the crisis in the Ukraine has been the most honest and noteworthy of all commentaries by far. Kevin has shown an unbiased portrayal of the Russian people and government that we know of today, and has taught us to have a pro-Russian attitude. Most other "Far-Right" websites and organizations remain ignorant and demonize Russia, by parroting the theory that Putin plans on taking over the whole world and creating a Soviet Union 2.0. I give Kevin a lot of credit for bridging the gap in our understanding of what is going on in the east, and if the Russians are listening to him, or reading this site, they will know that Kevin's ADV broadcasts are helping White Nationalists in America think clearly and not make the mistake in thinking that Russia is still our enemy.

True enough, but, at least the "information is getting out there" and that is what really matters.
Those that will actually do their own research, and those are the people the NA values the most,
will discover the NA, and those that have earned the credit that is due for their efforts, in time.
