This wonderful article made me remember why Christianity never took for me. Not only did I lack evidence of this abstract God, and I need to have proof of something to believe in it, but the other reason is that what made me uneasy in Bible school was the pervasive feeling of guilt. I think that’s what not only the Salvation Army, but Christianity itself instills in believers. I’ve noticed it especially with Catholicism. I think I may have heard some comedy routines about it.
