Disarmament is suicide: Top Hezbollah MP

"...A Lebanese lawmaker from Hezbollah's political wing has strongly dismissed demands for the resistance movement to lay down its arms following American pressure on the government to disarm the group.

Leader of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, Mohammad Raad made the remarks to the country's al-Manar television network on Friday after Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said ministers had approved the "objectives" of a related US proposal.

"Disarmament is suicide, and we do not intend to commit suicide", the legislator said, calling disarmament nothing short of a betrayal of the nation.

Raad went on to make it clear that disarmament was not merely a political choice, but an existential red line.

"To say surrender your weapons is to say surrender your honor... Who will guarantee sovereignty if the weapons are surrendered?", he asked..."

We will stop this genocide; Israel a 'dictatorship' for Palestinians: UN rapporteur to Press TV

"...Outspoken UN rapporteur Francesca Albanese has reasserted her and her like-minded people’s determination to stop the ongoing genocide being committed in Gaza by the Israeli regime, which she denounced as a "dictatorship" for Palestinians.

The world body’s special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories made the remarks on the latest edition of Press TV’s Face to Face program that was broadcast on Saturday.

"We will stop this genocide, the matter is when", she vowed.

"People and institutions are coming out, and they want to stand in solidarity, not with me, with the Palestinian people", the UN official added.

Albanese said Palestinians' right to self-determination and their "political future is not up for negotiation", despite feverish efforts by the regime and its allies, mostly notably the United States, to nullify such entitlements by equating them with "terrorism"..."

'Getting worse and worse', Israeli-American Council says after headquarters vandalized with swastikas

"...When JNS visited the national headquarters of the Israeli-American Council in the leafy Los Angeles neighborhood of Woodland Hills on Monday morning, the area around the modernist building had already been cleaned up, after an antisemitic vandal spray painted swastikas, "burn" and Nazi "SS" bolts on Sunday morning.

A security guard checked JNS into the parking lot. But even with tight security, "some employees didn't come to work today, because they don’t feel safe", Tamar Nissim, Los Angeles regional director for the nonprofit, told JNS. Frightened community members are "thinking of moving out", she added.

"We are very appalled by this vile, antisemitic act", Nissim told JNS. "It’s getting worse and worse, and we really think that there's something more deep that we need to address here"..."
