I apologize if I had posted the following on the message board previously:

RE: Trump Administration Efforts To Eliminate Federal Government Jobs To Free Up Money To Send To Israel

I thought about this subject over the last three weeks and I did a little math to try and figure out roughly how much money the federal government could save for every 100,000 federal employee positions which the Trump administration eliminates either through buyouts or layoffs.

This is what I came up with:

100,000 federal employees x $50,000 average annual salary x 1.5 total employee cost multiplier = $7,500,000,000 total amount of employee costs eliminated

In leaked messages, members of 'Columbia Alumni for Israel' group chat work to identify, punish pro-Palestinian protesters

"...Hours into a pro-Palestinian sit-in Wednesday outside Barnard Dean Leslie Gringage's office in protest of the reported expulsion of two Barnard students, a faculty mediator approached the group with Grinage's conditions for a meeting. Among them were requirements that demonstrators show their Barnard IDs and remove facial coverings.

As protesters and administration continued to negotiate the terms of the meeting, unrest was bubbling in a "Columbia Alumni for Israel" WhatsApp group chat. In messages obtained by Spectator, members demanded to disclose the protesters' identities.

"Are the names of the terrorists being kept confidential?" a member of the group chat asked in a message obtained by Spectator.

"They were masked", another member wrote in response, according to a message obtained by Spectator..."

Yemen's strikes 'drained' US Navy's munitions: Report

"...An American military news publication says Yemen's retaliatory operations have "drained" the stockpile of munitions of the US Navy, as it has fired more missiles in the past 15 months than in the last three decades combined.

Citing retired Navy Cmdr. Bryan Clark, of the Hudson Institute, Task & Purpose reported that the number of missiles fired by the navy in the Red Sea since Yemen began its pro-Gaza operations in October 2023 exceeds the total used in all the years since Operation Desert Storm in the 1990s.

Clark confirmed that the navy saw the most combat at sea since World War II over the 15-month-period, which ran from October 19, 2023 to January 19, 2025..."

I would give US campus protesters exploding pagers: Israeli ex-PM Bennett

"...Israel's former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has said to an audience during an address at the Harvard Business School (HBS) that he would give "a pager" to those who protest his tour of universities in the United States, alluding to the September 2024 terrorist pager explosions Lebanon.

Bennett was speaking at the HBS on Thursday as part of his recent university tour of the United States.

According to six people present at the speech, HBS professor Paul A. Gompers began the event by explaining Harvard's guidelines on disruption, noting that dissenting audience members who interrupted the speaker would be removed. Bennett himself interrupted to say, "I think we'll just give them a pager"..."

Military buildup: US moves 5 B-2 stealth bombers to Indian Ocean base

"...Recent movements of US military assets to Diego Garcia indicate preparations for a major air campaign, UK Defence Journal reported. This follows the most extensive US strikes in the Middle East since President Donald Trump took office, targeting Yemen.

According to open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis of military flight tracking data, at least five B-2 Spirit stealth bombers and seven C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft have either arrived at the Indian Ocean base or are en route.

The build-up coincides with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's confirmation that Washington will continue striking Yemen until the country stops "attacking commercial and military shipping in the Red Sea". The latest US airstrikes killed at least 53 Yemenis, primarily women and children, marking a sharp escalation in the aggression..."
