Amsterdam Mayor Slams Tourists Who 'Humiliate' Sex Workers

Post by Wade Hampton III » Sun Aug 18, 2019 3:28 am

Calling their treatment "unpalatable" and "humiliating," Femke Halsema told the Amsterdam daily, Het Parool, that growing tourism to the red-light district was making it increasingly difficult for the city's sex workers to ply their trade safely or with dignity. With as many as 20 million visitors coming to Amsterdam every year, the city is struggling to cope with the growing number of tourists, which amounted to just 10 million in 2000. Not only has this affected the availability of housing, but it has also put increased pressure on the tiny red-light district and the women who work there.

The mayor could serve her constituents better by making families a more attractive option for women than dignifying a "profession" where women sell themselves like pieces of meat to people who treat them like meat. There is no dignity in prostitution in the first place, and trying to shame johns into better behavior is laughable.

Observation from inside the Industry: Most young men and women think the porn industry would be great to work in. Sex all day. Sex all the time. Hot women. I mean, everyone looks like they are enjoying themselves on video camera. What we all don’t realize is the hours and hours on set they are working. Men are commanded to get hard — fluffers help sometimes, depending on the budget, but for the most part, they want men who can get hard instantly — and for most of us men — yeah… about that….

Men in the industry are likely to have more success in gay porn than straight. There are plenty of “straight men” who turned to gay porn for the money. Gay porn pays something around three times more than what straight porn will pay. No shortage of straight men. Dick ain’t worth all that much. They are technically now ousted as gay because — if you’re willing to suck dick for money, as a man, doesn’t that make you gay?

And women? If your face is shown in porn. You’re unlikely to find work in any public sector ever again, especially if you wanted to work with children or anything like that. You do really hope that the men (and women) you are working with have been tested, but as porn stars — who are very sexually active with multiple partners, including their husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, and even fans who pay them for sex — can catch an STI/STD in an instant.

Many women are lied to — underpaid, not paid, or taken advantage of. Many women are only sexy because of the pounds of makeup thrown on their faces. And most women have to literally lie there with a whole bunch of men standing around them, telling her how to position herself, staring at her — and while it may seem awkward to us, it’s her job. Most of the “rich porn stars” are the ones who were smart enough to “get out of the mainstream industry” and start their own businesses, make names for themselves, and take their fans with them. Many of them often start their own websites with exclusive access to their videos and photos that can’t be seen elsewhere.

It is definitely an unforgiving industry worth billions of dollars. And well… the average life expectancy of a porn star is around 37 years old. From drugs, hanging out with shady people, to diseases… it looks like an amazing life on camera — but is far from it in reality.

Also: it’s not “horrible” to work in porn. Many do actually enjoy it — and it is a job. And “working conditions” may not be as bad as they once were. Actresses can make great money. But there are many, many who will take advantage of you if you don’t learn the game quickly. However, it’s “terrible” when you think about how you are treated — you’re a male or female sex object designed to rake in lots of money — don’t like what’s happening? Don’t like the scene? Feel you’re being abused or degraded? Want to back out? There’s always someone else willing to do what you won’t — and don’t expect to be called ever again for more work if you do back out — once the photos and video goes out there, it’s now public forever — and the fact that life expectancy is only 37 years of age.

If I was told about a “great job opportunity” but that was the life expectancy — I’d be dead within 5 years. Now I might get lucky, but the fact that is the average age is a bit scary. Yes, going to work and having sex and getting pleasure from it sounds amazing. You’ll also deal with a bunch of people filming you, telling you how to have sex, telling you how to stand, holding your position for the “money shot”, working with someone you may not even want to have sex with. And yes — there are likely many gay porn stars who are actually gay. There are also straight men who turn to gay porn for the money.

As for “being recognized” — most of us do know who our favorite porn stars are and if we don’t, we do learn her name. She might get lucky and get by after she quits porn. There are several people who are former porn stars and are involved in politics and other occupations who show their face every day and aren’t questioned. Again: it’s a risk you take ( Texas teacher fired for working as porn actress more than 16 years ago ).

Former adult film star Mia Khalifa has warnings about the Industry. Khalifa, 26, made roughly a dozen appearances before quitting the porn industry in early 2015, but not before she received a slew of online abuse and threats of decapitation from Islamic State extremists, due to her proclivity for performing nude while wearing a hijab.

Following her three-month stint in pornography, the Lebanese-born Khalifa has spoken out about the manipulation of young and vulnerable women in the industry and has expressed deep regret for her decision to join the porn business, however briefly.

How nice that she figured it out on her own. But she could have saved herself the trouble, information about the porn trade and other related practices such as white slavery has been around a long time. Why is she so special though? And why is this important to us? It seems that healthy Whites don't want to get involved in these rackets in the first place without going to the trouble of researching the issue.

The lure of easy money is a powerful enticement.....

I am sure that more than once it has led to regretful
decisions.

Indeed the lure of easy money is a powerful enticement! For economic men (and women), that is. But this sort of view brings people to their ruin more often than not, yes? Whether it's one's soul, character, health, relationships, or what have you, economic men enslave themselves and pay dearly for it.
