"Criminal" indeed. Their promises of protecting free speech in Canada are the opposite of their practices, an act of tyranny over the minds of its own people where one can be imprisoned for an expressed thought.

As I'm keeping tabs on activism in the news on a daily basis, I hope to find updates that way. Some jurisdictions allow anyone with a computing device/internet access to keep informed of the public cases that have or are being processed through the courts by visiting their government websites. I'll see if the Ontario government or its subdivisions do this as well in order to gain firsthand information should the media decide not to follow through on the developments.

Nazis, Ku Klux Klan fliers and a dog named Adolf: Is this small US town a hotbed for white nationalism?
By North America bureau chief Zoe Daniel and Emily Olson in Pennsylvania
Updated Sun {7 July 2019} at 1:58pm

The tipping point for Potter County, Pennsylvania came in the form of fliers.

"Are there troubles in your neighbourhood? Contact the traditional American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake," they read.

They were delivered strategically, shielded from the dew by plastic bags and weighted against the wind with rocks.

Hundreds appeared on lawns and porches one Saturday morning, just weeks before the 2016 election.

For years, white supremacists had lived in the region, a serene farming area of rolling green hills and red barns, known as "God's Country".

Until then, their presence had never raised much alarm among residents.

But with the fliers, their extremist beliefs suddenly reached into homes, and, as news of the propaganda drop went viral online, their presence entered the national consciousness.

Emboldened, the once-underground groups started meeting more frequently and openly.

Billing themselves as "a Terror Machine coming to a town near you", they posted public calls for "all white patriots" to join their cause.

They ran ads in the local newspaper. They conducted weapons training. They made plans.

KIRKLAND, Wash. - Police in Kirkland are working to find the person(s) responsible for posting neo-Nazi flyers on the door of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.

The flyers were found June 30 at the church located in the 10000 block of NE 124th Street.

The pastor of the church asked KIRO 7 to blur the flyer because of its violent imagery and language about refugees.

Also on June 30, the same message was posted at Kenmore’s Northlake Lutheran Church.

"An act like that is an act of violence. The language of white supremacy is the language of violence and we very much want this to be a place of love and peace and justice and a place where our neighbors and our community know that they are safe," Pastor Katy McCallum told KIRO 7.

Pastor McCallum said she doesn’t know why they were targeted but made it clear the church’s message of love and inclusion will not change.

The church turned over surveillance video of the incident to Kirkland police to help with the investigation.

Fliers linked to neo-Nazi group pinned outside Kirkland, Kenmore churches
Police were advised of the fliers.

By Ashley Hiruko
Wednesday, July 10, 2019 8:30am

Members of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland found them on June 30, which coincided with the last day of Pride month. The flier outside the Northlake Lutheran in Kenmore was found at the same time. It wasn’t the typical advertisement or promotional piece Eastsiders might expect. Instead the fliers promoted a group with neo-Nazi ties.

Katy McCallum Sachse has been a pastor at Holy Spirit Lutheran for 11 years, and never in that time had she received anything like the fliers. To her, the flier seems menacing.

“It feels like a threat when someone posts a picture of a guy with an M-16 on your door late at night,” McCallum Sachse said.

The words “censorship ends in violence” are written across the top of the flier, and at the center is a picture of the Christchurch shooter, a lone gunman responsible for an attack on Muslims during Friday prayers in Christchurch, New Zealand. The shooting resulted in the death of 51 people on March 15, 2019, and was broadcast live on Facebook.

Other symbolism is prevalent throughout the flier, including the badge used to single out the Jewish community in Europe during the Holocaust. It covers the gunman’s mouth. On the gun the words “refugees welcome to hell” are written.

On the bottom of the flier are the words “Increase free speech and increase the peace,” and “brought to you by your local Stormer Book Club (SBC).”

The flier is particularly concerning to McCallum Sachse, given that a former Woodinville Jewish congregation just recently moved into a Unitarian church in Kirkland, and will be sharing a space there.

“They just arrived in town officially this week,” McCallum Sachse said. “So to see this poster … with this Holocaust implication … is disturbing to me.”

According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Daily Stormer Book Club consists of “small localized crews of young white men” who are followers and supporters of neo-Nazi Andrew Anglin. They’re a part of the alt-right segment of the white supremacist movement. “On the ground” members spread fliers and propaganda online.

Kirkland Police Lt. Rob Saloum said officers were advised of the flier and asked to provide extra patrol to area synagogues and places of worship. He added that there was no indication of any threat on the poster and that just the nature of the topic was of interest.

Pastor Anja Helmon owf Northlake Lutheran, noted that the Stormer Book Club website offers a disclaimer that they do not promote any violence. But she is unsure of how closely members of the neo-Nazi group would follow that message.

Helmon speculated on reasons why someone would put the fliers on the Kenmore and Kirkland churches, and not blanket churches as a whole. No one posted a flier outside First Lutheran Church of Bothell, she said.

She knows both Northlake Lutheran and Holy Spirit had a similar message outside their buildings at one time. “Jesus is a refugee,” was posted outside both churches, in Kenmore to help “others relate to people who are refugees in our country,” Helmon said. And both congregations have been involved with Pride events, celebrating LGBTQ.

“I feel like as a Chrisitian … if we’re serious about following Jesus, that means standing with people who get cast aside or judged or told they’re not good enough for whatever reason,” Helmon said. “Getting this kind of attention tells me we’re on the right track. It tells me we’re doing what we’re supposed to do.”

The ADL is aware of similar actions taken by Daily Stormer Book Clubs in other states and communities, said Miri Cypers, Pacific Northwest regional director. And it’s not uncommon for members to make use of current events and public discussion to underscore “hateful narratives.”

Although, Cypers added, these are the first instances of these specific fliers the ADL has heard of in the Puget Sound.

“Issues around online platforms responding to hate and extremism have been front and center for them, and not surprisingly some anti-Semites are promoting the idea that Jews are trying to silence the masses. This flier is particularly ominous,” she said.

The Eastside is no stranger to these kinds of promotional pamphlets — similar palm-sized papers shoved inside plastic bags with pebbles have been found on front yards in King County. Those pamphlets, however, were the work of the Patriot Front, a white nationalist hate group based in Texas (according to the Southern Poverty Law Center).

When McCallum Sachse told the Kirkland congregation, which averages 450 people during Sunday service, about the flier, they were shocked.

“I think many people believe this kind of thing doesn’t happen in Kirkland, and I think it’s important that we be open to the fact that it does sometimes and we speak out very clearly against it,” McCallum Sachse said.

McCallum Sachse said safety conversations have been ongoing for the last few years. It’s why the church reported the flier to police and why it opted to have a security camera.

After finding the flier, however, the church isn’t going to do anything particularly different. It will continue to be clear in its intent — that the community stands firmly against the flier’s message and that God’s love is inclusive of all people.
The proofreader at this "news" organization must've been asleep that day.

Racist flyers found in neighborhood
by Kyle Garmes Jul 9, 2019 Updated 12 hrs ago

Racist propaganda has been distributed in Beverly and Mt. Greenwood once again, according to residents and 19th Ward Ald. Matt O'Shea.

Fliers reading "No white guilt," with a list of websites "that oppose anti-whiteism" and "idenitify anti-whites" were found in the community this week, including on automobiles.

O'Shea identified the person distributing them as a white male, 50-60 years old.

He said the fliers were found on the 10000 and 10100 blocks of South Artesian Avenue as well as the 10600 and 10700 blocks of South Sawyer Avenue. Similar fliers were recently distributed in Oak Forest and Tinley Park, he said.

Similar propaganda was discovered along the route of the South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade route on March 17.

O’Shea said he is sending a mass email to the community about the recent incident, and he expressed frustration.

“It’s another example of cowardly individuals or organizations coming to the community to spread fear and anger,” O’Shea said. “This isn’t who we are.”

If one were to replace "anti-whiteism" with "anti-Semitism," would Ald. Matt O'Shea still say the distributors of such a message are "cowards" who "spread fear and anger?"

White supremacist messages left in Charleston yards
DAVE FOPAY [email protected] Jul 8, 2019

CHARLESTON -- When she first saw the piece of paper inside a plastic bag in her yard Saturday morning, Jennifer Burke thought it was some kind of advertisement.

But the swastika soon made her think otherwise.

"I couldn't believe what it was," Burke said of the note that contained the Nazi symbol along with the words "white power" and other, similar messages.

She said she eventually collected other notes from yards near her residence in the 900 block of Ninth Street in Charleston, a neighborhood she said is also the home to at least four black families.

"I thought it was garbage," Burke said. "I've never seen anything like it. It's frightening to me."

Charleston police received reports of the notes being left in yards in at least three areas of the city last week, police Chief Chad Reed said.

On Tuesday afternoon of last week, witnesses identified a white Dodge Caravan as the vehicle being used when the notes were left in yards in the 100 block of West Polk Avenue, Reed said.

He said that was the only time the vehicle was sighted. But police also received reports of the notes in 10 block of Grant Avenue and a total of 15 left in the area where Burke lives, he added.

Reed said he believes the notes were left in random locations and no one was targeted specifically.

The notes were placed in plastic bags along with small rocks, presumably to hold them in place after they were left in yards. The notes also included "white lives matter" and a reference to online videos.

"I consider this hate speech," Burke said. "I don't know who did this or why."

Reed said the notes didn't include any specific threats but police will continue to look for the vehicle witnesses identified.

He said he plans to consult with the state's attorney's office and the Charleston city attorney about what legal action could result if the people behind the notes are located.

He encouraged people to continue to notify police if more of the notes are found.
Chief Reed, If distributing flyers is completely within the law, why does anyone need to notify the police?

Hate group laid white supremacist wreath on Benjamin Franklin’s tomb on Independence Day
by Cassie Owens, Updated: July 9, 2019

Members of a New Jersey-based hate group placed a wreath bearing white supremacist slogans on Benjamin Franklin’s tomb on the Fourth of July, according to officials at Christ Church in Old City. Officials say the group was quickly interrupted and escorted from the graveyard.

Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, about four men carrying banners gathered around Franklin’s grave at the Christ Church Burial Ground at Fifth and Arch Streets. John Hopkins, director of operations for Christ Church and one of the staffers who stopped them, identified two of the men who visited from photographs as members of the New Jersey European Heritage Association, a group that promotes anti-Semitism and racism.

The men were taking pictures at the burial site with the wreath, which had a white bow that read “Reclaim America,” as well as “Reclaim Your Nation. Reclaim Your Heritage," language that has appeared in the group’s recruitment fliers.

Hopkins informed the group that it did not have permission for a wreath-laying ceremony. One of the men lingered, but ultimately left with the wreath “without incident.”

“I don’t know if they were going to do anything further, but nothing happened after that point,” Hopkins said, adding, “Anyone who comes here shouldn’t be uncomfortable. This should be a safe space for everyone.”

The Rev. Tim Safford, rector at Christ Church, expressed disappointment Monday.

“It’s just terrible," he said. "Clearly this white supremacist hate group [is] trying to connect their vile view to the founders, in this case Benjamin Franklin, for nefarious purposes. It’s our responsibility to stop them as best we can.”

New Jersey European Heritage Association’s website states that “the members of NJEHA do not see the current society as a healthy and cohesive environment suited for their children and grandchildren,” and aim to “wrest political, economic and social control away from the hostile elite who have usurped power in America.” The group did not immediately respond Monday to a request for comment.

The group was launched in 2018 and “has significantly increased its propaganda efforts,” according to Nancy Baron-Baer, a regional director at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The association is growing, she continued. Previously, the ADL had observed the group only appearing in Central New Jersey, but more recently has seen its “propaganda” in Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, West Virginia. Arkansas, Missouri, South Carolina and Florida, she said. In 2018, the ADL Center for Extremism counted eight incidents from the group. There have already been seven times as many incidents recorded so far in 2019 — 56 total as of early July.

“They hold a view that unless they take immediate action, the white race is going toward extinction,” Baron-Baer said.

Heather Boston, a Tennessee tourist visiting the tomb Monday, found the incident troubling.

“Things like that are really tragic and sad, that it still goes on in our nation,” Boston said.

Lyka and Yash Reyes, a mother and son visiting the burial ground, were also saddened by the news. The duo call the Bataan province of the Philippines home, but have been exploring American cities together over the last couple of years since the family relocated to Jacksonville, Fla.

“I think that’s the meanest thing you could do to one of the most important of people," said Yash, 8. "He’s one of the people who signed the Declaration of Independence. It’s rude to the other people who love him.”

Lyka said the group’s actions ran contrary to early American values that championed equality for all.

“Even despite our differences, we bleed the same. I think that’s what they believed in,” she said, pointing to graves around her. “It’s still an ongoing fight.”

“Hopefully," Yash added, "it’ll end.”

This story has been changed to reflect that the total number of incidents involving the New Jersey European Heritage Association was 56 as of early July.
Quoting the criminal organization ADL doesn't give this article any authority. Quite the opposite, it shows what side (anti-White) these propagandists are on. This was a simple wreath-laying memorial event, not some crime like those members of the ADL have committed.

From John de Nugent's website https://www.johndenugent.com/to-an-admi ... ic-genius/ , a quote by Franklin:
Why should we, in the Sight of Superior Beings, darken [our] People? Why increase the Sons of Africa, by planting them in America, where we have so fair an Opportunity, by excluding all Blacks and Tawneys, of increasing the lovely White and Red [complections]? But perhaps I am partial to the Complexion of my Country, for such Kind of Partiality is natural to Mankind.

Unfortunately, the National Alliance is lumped in with those who promote "White supremacy" using the swastika symbol and the term "White Power." NA advocates geographic racial separation, not supremacy or power over other races, or any exploitation of them at all -- just separation to control our people's own destiny apart from those who blame all of their problems on us -- and our symbol is the Life Rune, not the thoroughly stigmatized swastika.

Governor Cuomo sending task force to investigate possible hate statement stickers in Troy

by WRGB STAFFMonday, July 8th 2019

TROY, NY (WRGB) A statement of hate in Troy and the city is taking action.

Stickers have been turning up on light poles and other places in Troy such as one on Third Street, saying that “white people are being disrespected" and must “strike back."

The mayor's office says others popped up earlier and were taken down. The signs indicate they come from the group called Hundred Handers, a white supremacist group.

Governor Cuomo has also announced a task force to work with Troy Police to investigate.

"I am directing the State Police Hate Crimes Task Force to assist local authorities in their investigation to ensure those responsible are found and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. These acts are not just disgusting - they are illegal, and we will never allow hate and discrimination to divide us in New York," said Governor Cuomo.
Sending the state police to investigate......stickers? What will Governor Cuomo do if he catches whoever exercised some free speech? Stick the poor guy in a field and rain artillery shells on him? Overkill investigation to be followed by overkill punishment seems to be the Governor's modus operandi towards Whites with a pro-White message.
