My February (Bulletin) arrived yesterday. Check went out this afternoon. Look for it up
there sometime next week. Don't knock Lotto, Captain. Jackpot tomorrow night is $495M.
I know odds are slim, but at least there is a chance. Here are the odds of winning without
the purchase of a ticket: 0 tickets = 0 winnings.

How do the chances of hitting the Lotto jackpot stack up against Betelgeuse going supernova in our lifetimes? ;)

If by "our lifetimes" your frame of reference is "today" in terrestrial
time, then that will not be known for another 520 years from now,
quite beyond the lifespan of anyone alive "today." That is because
for us the star does not exist "today" because we see it as it was
520 years ago. Even the nearby Moon does not exist "now," but as
it existed approximately 1.25 seconds ago. Hate to disappoint all
the Trekkies out in the Federation, but there is no such thing as
"now" in the cosmos. "Now" and "then" exist only relative to one
another.

View from another angle: Time is "in" the Cosmos. The Cosmos
IS NOT in "time."

March's came right on time, thanks Will.

Interesting reading, amazing how "someone" anonymous can still manage to be a PITA.
After years on moderating (two decades now) one thing is certain, the "movement" DOES attract some of the crazies out there.
It's not diversity, it's displacement.

Very true. Spotting them by their characteristics quickly must be something you've developed after all these years of moderation. Some, I would imagine, are very overt and "let it all hang out" openly, and some are more discreet or subtle with their pathology. Perhaps you know of many examples gained by your experience.

Received April's Bulletin in today's mail.
Very interesting as usual.
I surly hope you can find someone to occupy/watch over the Mill Point property, it would be a damned shame if that hostile old fart that shares the driveway/right of way gets free reign of the land again.
One would think that there has to be SOMEONE who whether graduating college, maybe high school, having went through a divorce or just finished up military service that would like to just like get away from it all and spend a peaceful couple/few months enjoying nature and solitude there.
I wish you luck finding someone Chairman.
Congrats to Vanessa and KAS on their tying the knot.

If I had money and didn't need a job, I would do it.

We have a good man there now, Jim. The announcement in the April BULLETIN is for our idealistic, dedicated members who receive the BULLETIN, not for the public who may read this public forum. I've had enough of non-members or local folks, needing a flop. We hope for a smooth transition between who's there now and the person or couple that will replace him later this year.

How do you like the new banner? (Another ridiculously large image) :|
