Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has incensed Israel with his recent remarks on the Gaza war. Lula accused Israel of committing "genocide" against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip and compared its actions to Adolf Hitler's campaign to exterminate Jews. Benjamin Netanyahu said the comparison makes Brazil cross the red line and that Lula was trivialising the Holocaust. Israel also summoned a Brazilian envoy to issue a reprimand. Houthi attack kills three sailors in group's first fatal strike on shipping

"...At least three seafarers have been killed in a Houthi missile attack on a merchant ship in the Gulf of Aden, the United States military said, marking the first fatalities reported since the Iran-aligned Yemeni group began attacks against shipping in one of the world’s busiest sea lanes over Israel’s war on Gaza.

The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack on Wednesday, which set the Liberian-owned, Barbados-flagged ship True Confidence ablaze approximately 50 nautical miles (93km) off the coast of Yemen’s port of Aden.

The US military’s Central Command reported "three fatalities, at least four injuries, of which three are in critical condition" as well as "significant damage to the ship"..."

Dead before birth: Gaza women 'delivering stillborn children' amid looming famine

"...An international aid organization says many women in the Gaza Strip, which is enduring a genocidal Israeli war and siege, are giving birth to stillborn children as famine stalks the territory.

"There are many operations that have been performed, like caesarean sections to remove fetuses, [which] died due to malnutrition among women," ActionAid International said in a statement on Thursday.

Nasrallah: Israeli army exhausted, will lose war even if it invades Rafah

"...The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement says the Israeli army, which is waging a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, is in a state of exhaustion.

Houthis Claim to Have Hypersonic Missile, Threaten Indian Ocean Traffic

"...Yemen's Houthi rebels claim to have tested a new hypersonic missile, according to Russian state media outlet RIA Novosti. The claim, which could not be confirmed, would give the militant group an improved capability to penetrate advanced air defenses. The group also claimed Thursday that it may begin attacking merchant shipping in the Indian Ocean, opening a new theater of operations for the growing conflict.

Houthi forces have been attacking merchant ships and Western warships off Yemen's coast for months. To date, the group has hijacked one ship, sunk another, and damaged about half a dozen more. Three seafarers have been killed, one has lost a leg, and several more have sustained other injuries.

The Houthis' deadliest weapon so far is its Iranian-supplied anti-ship ballistic missile inventory. Iran denies providing the arms for the campaign, but U.S. forces have repeatedly intercepted shipments of Iranian missile components bound for Yemen..."
