Flood NYC for Gaza: Arrests made as thousands rally in solidarity with Palestine

"...US police have arrested protestors as thousands rallied in New York City demanding an immediate ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip and an end to US military support for Israel.

At least 5,000 people rallied in New York's Union Square on Monday during Labor Day, according to local media, where tensions flared into clashes between opposing groups.

The protesters carried Palestinian flags, Keffiyehs, and banners as they marched down streets in Manhattan for the event titled "Flood NYC for Gaza", as some protesters lightened flares and smoke bombs in the street.

The demonstration, organized by 'Within our lifetime' organization saw protesters banging on drums and chanting "Free Palestine", "Resistance is justified when people are occupied" and "Israel bombs, USA pays, how many kids did you kill today?"

"We are here to change the narrative to expose the lies, to show the truth that masses stand with Palestine", the protesters said.

Demonstrators criticized US backing for Tel Aviv as hypocritical, demanding that taxpayer funds should be redirected towards American jobs and education, while also advocating for divestment from Israel-linked companies.

New York police estimated the crowd as more than 7,000 people and redirected the demonstrators away from the United Nations on the East Side as they attempted to make their way there..."

Iran's UN envoy warns Israel's nuclear arsenal poses serious threat to entire world

"...Iran has issued a stern warning about the risk posed to the entire world by Israel's nuclear arsenal, calling for international supervision over the regime’s nuclear facilities.

Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani made the statement in an address to the UN General Assembly on the International Day Against Nuclear Tests on Wednesday.

"The current situation is alarming, as the Israeli regime is threatening other regional countries with nuclear annihilation, and its nuclear arsenal poses a significant threat to both regional and global peace and security", he said.

He added that the international community should make the Israeli regime accede to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) "without any precondition" and to place all of its nuclear facilities under the full-scope IAEA safeguards.

Israel is estimated to possess 200 to 400 nuclear warheads in its arsenal, making it the sole possessor of non-conventional arms in West Asia. It has refused to either allow inspections of its nuclear facilities by the International Atomic Energy Agency or sign the NPT..."

When the encampments began last spring, the war on Gaza had been raging for a painful 6 months, long enough for activists to be fed up with US complicity and the ties between universities and the occupation's government.

I'll be impressed by the campus encampments when they shift from being pro-Palestinian to being anti-Jew. Palestinians do not control the U.S., Jews do -- especially America's mass mind through their stranglehold on the mass news and entertainment industry.

Israel 'absolute evil', much closer to defeat than victory: Iran

"...The spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry says the continuation of Israel's crimes and its excessive demands in the recent ceasefire negotiations indicate that the regime is much closer to defeat than "victory".

Israel war on Lebanon 'matter of days'; Beirut suburb to 'look like Gaza': Knesset member

Iran court rules US must pay $4bn over 2009 terrorist attack in Sistan and Baluchestan

"...An Iranian court has ruled that the United States must pay more than four billion dollars in damages for its complicity in a 2009 deadly terrorist attack in the country's southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan.

The 55th Branch of the Legal Court of International Relations of Tehran Justice Department issued the verdict on Wednesday and said the US government and officials have been sentenced to pay 4.130 billion dollars following a lawsuit lodged by 142 survivors of the horrific assault in 2009.

The Jundallah terrorist outfit, backed by the US administration and led by Abdolmalek Rigi, carried out a suicide bombing attack in Pishin Dirstrict in Sistan on October 18, 2009, claiming the lives of more than 45 people and injuring 57 others in the deadliest terrorist attack in Iran since the 1980s.

"The terrorist group was created with the design and financing of the American government, and all the terrorist acts of this outfit were ordered and approved by the American government against the people of Iran", the verdict said.

Underlining that Rigi was later arrested and put on trial by the Islamic Republic while heading to an American base in Central Asia, the verdict added, "After the arrest of the ringleader of the group, he presented several documents stating that the terrorist outfit was under the control of the American government and provided with ample financial, logistical or military and training support"..."

The explosive cargo was loaded in Hai Phong, Vietnam, on July 21. It is scheduled to be unloaded at the port of Koper, Slovenia, before reaching its final destination in the occupied territories.
