Stabbed to death for supposedly using the "K" word.

Clement Ramawele (25) of Mabopane near Pretoria accused of having stabbed Anne-Marie van Zyl (32) from Kempton Park in front of her two young daughters to death with a knife.

He testified to Judge Solly Sithole in the High Court in Johannesburg in Randburg on Saturday, March 8 to Van Zyl's fatal stabbing. He testified that he had arrived that morning with his CV at his former workplace, Trio Data Business Risk Consultants . He wanted anyone who was on duty speak to him.

He wanted anyone who was on duty confront. He wanted them to know why the company denied he had worked there while on a conference call with other job applicants and Trio Data.

Ramawele said that he did not expect Van Zyl who was his previous manager at Trio Data to be present.

"I used to have a good relationship with all the people there, but not with her. "I asked her nicely why she denied that he had worked there.

She said that gives him no reason to be there. According to him she apparently started insulting him.

"She started speaking Afrikaans. She called me a k ****" She said he must leave. He grabbed a knife in the kitchen and stabbed her to death.

Van Zyl's nine year old daughter testified that Ramawele immediately attacked her as she arrived at her office. He choked her and kicked her in front of her five year old sister and stabbed her 13 times with a knife.

She unsuccessfully jumped on his back to make him stop.

Ramawele yesterday said he could not remember. He has denied her children were present. Ramawele denied that his handwriting was on a threatening letter that was found on the scene, although police confirmed using forensics that he
had written the letter.

Elderly farm couple tortured during Farm Attack
On October 19, 2014 at 3:47 pm

Potchefstroom – The attack by 6 men happened on October 5, 2014 at 5:00, when Hennie Maree went to the dairy, his dog gave one bark and the next moment Hennie was hit in the face with the butt end of a shotgun.

By then Hennie’s workers was already tied up in the diary. They took his note book and the money he had in his pocket. Niklaas Maree said his father was hit with a brick, because his wounds were full of dirt.

They tied Hennie up and dragged him to the homestead where he was kicked and hit several times and forced to open the safe, Niklaas Maree told reporters. He said they do not keep money in the house, because of farm attacks. It’s uncertain at what stage his mother was tied to a bed.

Hennie was then dragged again on his stomach to the barn where a small amount of cash was taken. The suspects tied him to a chair and left with his vehicle, cell phones, cash and a television. Mrs Rensche Maree was tortured, kicked around, slapped in the face and even burnt with a hot iron.

Hennie is 75 and Rensche is 74 years old. Hennie freed himself and drove by tractor to Tolmay’s Shop and phoned his son.

R.I.P Fallen South Africans

*There is a difference between murdering someone quickly and slowly (tortuously); as well as on impulse and premeditated. The following murder which took place last Wednesday shows a premeditated torturous murder.

Premeditated because the victim had been tied up with cable ties (cable ties are commonly carried around by the
killers for this purpose) and tortuously as you will see for yourself. Once a victim has been demobilized, and cannot defend himself or pose any threat to his attacker, and the attacker carries on torturing such a victim, there can be no other reason for such torturing except for hate. Hate crimes continuously carried out using the same method on a particular distinguishable group of people (ie such crimes are not carried out on any other group of people in the same area) which threatens to destroy the existence of such a group of people falls under the category of genocide.*

ROOS Joseph Martin de Wet "Tinus" car salesman aged 51, son of the wellknown watermelon farmer Frans Roos Snr who had recently passed away during a farm fire, was found tortured to death inside his flat at the Karee Heights Apartments during the day estimated between 12:00 and 17:00. As Tinus had not answered his phone earlier when his employer had tried to contact him, a lady friend went in search of him to his apartment. After knocking on his door, she looked through his bedroom window and saw someone lying on the bed. She called the police who had to break down
the door to enter his premises.

His hands had been tied up behind his back with cable ties, and his feet with a belt. His body was covered with raw mealie meel. Apparently his killer/s had put a plastic pillow over his mouth and nose before covering his whole head with adhesive tape which had been pulled so tightly that his nose had been broken.

His sister, who had to identify his corpse. said that his face was literally dark blue, stating that "I did not know that a person can turn so blue when they are smothered. Initially I thought it was the wrong person, but then I recognised him. They had battered him terribly."

Tinus had suffered a severe, open knife wound to the head and there were blue marks on his throat from an electric cord with which he had been strangled. His shoulders and chest, as well as the one side of his body was blue, grazed and bruised. She said that it was clear that he had fought for his life.

Shortly before the attack, R5000 had been withdrawn from his bank account. Missing from the scene was his wallet in which he kept his bank card, as well as his 1400 Nissan pick-up.

"Tinus was a quiet and peaceful person who did his own thing. He was not very social," his sister told The Post. She and Tinus had been the only children their parents had before they had passed away. At school, Tinus had been a good athlete and rugby player, as well as a Springbok amateur wrestler. He had helped his father with farming and had been an oats farmer from 1994 until 2007 in Australia. She said that, "It feels so unreal, as if we still need to wake up from a dream. No one deserves to die like that. Who gives anyone the right to hurt another person so badly and to murder someone in such a cruel manner?"

The funeral for Tinus will be held at the NG East church in Modimolle on Tuesday, 28 October.

• Majalefa Mokoena (21) from Vosloorus, Gauteng was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday, 24 October. The wallet of Tinus, as well as other stolen articles was found in court on Monday 27 October. He is accused of murder, housebreak with the intention of theft, robbery with extenuating circumstances, possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of illegal ammunition and the theft of a vehicle. The case has been remanded to Tuesday 4 November and he is held in custody. The police are also looking for Koketso Phala (31) show in picture below, in connection with this case, and they suspect that he is in the Vosloorus area. Col. Simon Mogale from the Modimolle detective dept can be reached on 082 565 8606.
