How much Russians love their vodka has become
a worldwide cliché - but in truth - they love
almost every type of alcohol. Their relationship
with vodka however - is special - and they prefer
to drink it neat (straight up)!! Each year when
the holidays arrive, the average Russian spends
roughly $400 on alcohol alone.
158 This may sound like a good time, but unfortunately,
all that drinking does catch up to them. Sadly,
every year about 23,000 folks die of alcohol
poisoning in Russia. That is the highest percentage
in the world. Alcohol abuse has also been linked
to numerous instances of assault, homicide, and
suicide.

and Big Diomede....

The distance between Alaska and Russian is not
that great, and for years the Russians have been
planning to connect the two by building a 64-mile
tunnel under the Bering Strait and train tracks
leading up to the tunnel. The project is titled
TKM-World Link and it has earned the support of
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Such a massive
undertaking, believed by many to be the greatest
engineering feat in history, will cost a whopping
$65 billion and take 10 to 15 years to complete.
The project is being funded not only by Russia,
but also by the United States, China, and Canada.
The passage will not only transfer goods but also
oil, natural gas, electricity, and passengers.

Neat! too bad the tunnel doesn't have underwater views that would be super awesome. People underestimate the damage that alcohol can cause if abused, because it's a legal substance. I've seen people be so down in the drink they never do come out from it. It's just doing what you can to get that fix every day.

The Russians have it right, Wade. Straight up is the only way to knock back good clear, white liquor, whether it's vodka or the best moonshine these Southern Mountains have to offer. Frankly, I've always been a little suspicious of that high-priced brownish stuff that somebody has let fester in on old oak barrel for 12 or 15 years. If it's so darn good, why didn't they drink it while it was fresh?

current technology it could be done. However,
how is the USofA going to finance its share
of the project? The value of US fiat currency
is now falling to daily lows. Supposedly,
there is supposed to be 8000 tons of gold at
the Fort Knox location. Questions have been
raised. It is there? If so, what are the
conditions of the ingots? Are they good
delivery bars and not gold-plated tungsten?
Tunnels and bridges cannot be built on empty
promises. Is that not what a Jewish FRN really
is?

Damn right they do! I will raise a glass to Mother Russia
any day! After all, they sent their Jews packing out to
Birobidzhan where they couldn't cause any problems!
