RIP, Olaf Childress

Mr. Childress passed away in July, but I just now learned of it when the following appeared in my email:

Olaf Childress, R.I.P.

Olaf Childress, the Editor and Publisher of The First Freedom (TFF,) died on July 20, 2018 at age 85. He was a long-time resident of Silverhill, AL.

Olaf Published TFF from 1998 until June 2018. Never jealous of other publications, he always encouraged the publishing of others of a conservative or white nationalist orientation.

He advertised TFF as "A racist monthly tabloid -- Covers the South like White on grits -- emphasis White." TFF reported on issues involving the South and Confederate Heritage issues, and regularly publicized activities of The League of the South.

He opposed the efforts of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) and United Daughters of the Confederacy to betray their ancestry and adopt "politically correct" posturing. He had a feud of many years with SCV groups over their differences.

He was a very special man of the "old school,” honorable, hardworking and uncomplaining. He prayed every morning for one hour and had a strong and abiding Christian faith.

He began his working life as a carpenter, and then had stints with the US Marines and US Army. Childress spent five years supervising German construction workers on US military bases in Germany. Later, he established New South Homes, a custom builder of residential homes.

He was highly educated and well-schooled in the Western tradition and spoke the German language fluently.
Eventually, he became involved in protest movements against today's "unconstitutional, criminal, illegitimate, tyrannical Marxist/Socialist, de facto occupational government" as he characterized it. He also was an inventor who received several patents for his efforts.

When he realized his health was failing, he attempted to find another willing to carry on the publishing of TFF. It may still be possible for someone to come forward and continue his work.

True, but he was one of us. Without a doubt, Mr. Childress was a White man to the core, with all his words and actions in our favor. We cannot all succeed in shaking off the husk of our upbringing. It took me well over a half a century.

Let's choose to perform outreach activities and help those who are thoroughly disgusted with christinsanity and today's materialist-oriented nihilism the Jews push so hard by offering them an alternative--Cosmotheism.

Perhaps the time we ourselves lost can be used as a reminder that we can save others from experiencing the same loss through action.

Certain patriots like to say, "Praise God and pass the ammo," but I say, praise our ancestors for making us White and pass the propaganda! Cheesy, I know. But you get the point.

There's no reason for any racial nationalist to dishonor men like Olaf who did their best to awaken and arouse our people, even if those men promoted an unsuitable Semitic creed as the belief system for their followers. Thanks for that bio, C.E.

Olaf Childress (1933 - 2018)

I had seen Mr. Childress's "neo-Confederate" TFF advertised in a couple of periodicals we receive here at the National Office. I never saw an actual issue of TFF, but it was obvious from his ads that he was a "god-fearing" White patriot who honored his Southern ancestors and loved his Bible.

When I was informed a couple of years ago that Olaf carried ads in TFF for the ad hoc so-called NARRGs (National Alliance Reform and Restoration Group) and their $2 million lawsuit against our Alliance I wrote to Olaf, gently disabusing him of the notion that NARRG was going to wrest control of NA in their coup attempt, using the courts. I never received a reply from Olaf. I had the same experience with the American Free Press tabloid which carried NARRG's anti-NA advertisements as well as fake "stories" taken from the NARRG blog. I had asked AFP editor to grant my right to reply to those anti-NA stories, written by the plaintiffs, since my name was specificly smeared in them. No response; no reply.
