100% of all St. Louis murder suspects for 2017 are black

St. Louis is about 42% white, 50% black, and 8% Asian and Latino. As of September 12th, 2017, there have been 144 murders this year. Of the victims, 135 are black, 8 are white, and one is Latino. There are 55 closed cases and 89 open cases.

Police have identified 96 suspects so far. All 96 are black.

This is not a hoax. This is data published directly by the St. Louis Police Department.

St. Louis has seen its murder rate coming roaring back up since a low mark in 2013. There were 188 murders in 2015 and another 188 murders in 2016. This gives St. Louis a jaw-dropping murder rate of 60.5 for those two years. 2017 is currently on track to meet or exceed that rate.

However, St. Louis had an almost unbelievable murder rate of 69 back in 1993. While cities like Baltimore have exceeded their previous highs from the early 90s, St. Louis still has not exceeded its all-time high from 93.

The St. Louis police also have year-end reports from 2015 and 2016. Between the beginning of 2015 and September 12th, 2017, 96.2% of suspects are black, 3.2% are white, and .6% are Latino.

Of the eight white victims in 2017 so far, some have already been documented on this website.

On March 28th, Sheena Engstrom, 28, was shot and killed in St. Louis, MO. The suspect is her black boyfriend. The suspect committed suicide afterward.



On April 25th, Caleb Lee, 9, was critically injured in St.Louis, MO. He died of his injuries after about ten days in the ICU. Two black males aged 15 and 16 committed an armed carjacking earlier in the day. They were fleeing from police in a stolen car and slammed into Caleb and his family. Caleb’s five-year-old younger brother was also severely injured. Two other adult women were injured.

On April 20th, Alex Boschert, 27, and William Froelich, 52, were shot and killed in St. Louis, MO. They were utility employees and connecting a gas line to a home. The killer was a black male who committed suicide afterward. The murders are believed to have been racially motivated.



On June 4th, Spencer Weber, 21, was shot and killed in St. Louis, MO. Police say a black friend was playing with a loaded gun and shot him. Witnesses say they told him to stop playing with the gun, but he didn’t stop. The black male has been charged with a negligent felony homicide.



On June 3rd, Amber Green, 25, was shot and killed in St. Louis, MO. Green was in a car with several black males. They pulled into a gas station in a black neighborhood and their car was riddled with bullets by black males. Another black male was killed and two people were injured.
