When I would moderate there were usually 17 to twenty-some pages to look over, lately it has been like three.
Just no traffic.

I can't seem to get to Stormfront, ever since it was hijacked. I heard there was a work around, but I'm not tech savvy enough to figure it out. I wonder if that's part of the issue- too many people can no longer access it.

Now these directions are from another thread on this forum - they work on our Windows 10 laptop but I can't seem to get my Windows 7 desktop to accept them ---

1. Find "Notepad" in your computer's start menu
(usually located in the bottom left corner of your monitor) on your desktop/laptop computer.
(You may have to do a search for it?)
2. After you have located Notepad, Right click on it, and hover above "more", then
3. Select "Run as Administrator". A prompt window will pop up that says...
"Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" Click Yes.
(An Untitled Notepad file will now open up.)
4. You should now be in the Untitled Notepad file, so click "file"
(located in the top left corner of your Notepad file window) and then click "open"
5. copy the text in the line below:
c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
6. in the Notepad file name box that pops up, paste the line of text that you just copied, and...
7. click "open"
8. A Notepad file will open.
Using your mouse, go to the bottom of the Notepad file that opens,
and copy and paste the following one line of text in a new line at the bottom
104.20.30.134 stormfront.org http://www.stormfront.org
9. Click "Save" (top left corner of Notepad).
The Notepad file should now be saved. Done.)
10. You should now be able to get back onto Stormfront with no additional difficulties.

I did some research and it turns out Windows 7 has the hosts file set to "READ ONLY", which means changes cannot be saved. In order to edit the hosts file, you need to first remove the READ ONLY atribute by right-clicking on the hosts file and selecting "Properties", then under the General tab, remove the check mark next to "Read Only" then press "OK" to close the Properties panel.

• Right-click the host file and from the drop down menu click on Properties.

• Open the copied file in Notepad.
• In the opened file, go to the bottom and add a new line specifying the IP address of the trusted website followed by its corresponding URL.
• Finally save the file.
• Paste the file back at its original location.
• Restart the computer to allow the changes to take effect.

It seems that Don Black should just start over with a new site. Isn't getting the old one back going to take awhile?

Getting a new site going would take years and a substantial sum of money. Remember that Stormfront started out as a simple bulletin back at the advent of the open internet. To build from scratch something as expansive as it is now would be quite a task. Not to mention getting the word out on where it went...

And then TPTB would just seize the new one. It started after charlottesville- the KKK and Stormfront went offline, the domains stolen. This site, the National Vanguard, and the National Socialist site are still up. I'm not sure if SF got too well known, and the KKK is something everybodys heard of, but there's a definite coordinated effort to silence Whites and disrupt their ability to communicate and interact.

I don't doubt that it would be expensive and a huge task. However, if there are civil actions pending on the issue of retrieving the old site, that eats up time and money too....and may not result in desirable results worth the expense. The end around action I've seen proposed by some (of doing this and that with your computer to gain access to the site) is beyond the ability of most people and seems to be a failing action.

Building from scratch now offers the additional benefit of building better this time.

To use your answer that "TPTB" would just seize a new one is what our enemies are hoping we'll think. "Give up! Go away! You're defeated!" But there is an inherent lesson to be learned here.....if you care to learn it.

Those you refer to as "TPTB" are the domain servers, yes? It's true that a weakness was found and exploited to take down SF, and that's where to begin when creating a new website. Either choose a server that can be contracted with to prevent these kinds of low-rent attacks or Don Black can go into the domain server business himself.

So long as our racial competitors are on the same planet as we are, we will be under attack through silencing and disruption actions. How to deal with it is what I am discussing.
