Israeli soldiers face growing risk of arrest abroad after Gaza service

"...A former Israeli soldier on vacation in Brazil fled the country suddenly after a case was brought against him there alleging he was responsible for war crimes while serving in Gaza.

The case is the latest in a series of lawsuits brought by the Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) that has tracked the activities of hundreds of Israeli soldiers serving in Gaza.

Last week, a Brazilian judge ordered police to investigate the soldier, based on the complaint brought by the HRF, accusing him of "participating in massive demolitions of civilian homes in Gaza during a systematic campaign of destruction"..."

The head of the child prostitution ring is Arie Scher, Israel's consul in Rio de Janeiro, The ring recruited girls as young as nine years old and organized sex parties with the children for Israeli tourists.

One of the child prostitutes was questioned by Brazilian police and led them to the home of a Hebrew language teacher in Rio, Georges Schteinberg, where police seized photographs of hundreds of naked children and videos taken at sex parties with the children..."

US House passes ICC sanctions bill to protect Israeli war criminals

"...The US House of Representatives has approved a bill to sanction the International Criminal Court (ICC) officials in response to the arrest warrants that the tribunal has issued against Israeli authorities for war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

House lawmakers on Thursday voted 243-140 in favor of to the legislative text, which was introduced by Republican Representatives Chip Roy and Brian Mast.

The bill, which now heads to the Republican-controlled Senate, stipulates that the warrants against the Israeli officials should be "condemned in the strongest possible terms".

It also urges sanctions with respect to the court over "any effort to investigate, arrest, detain or prosecute any protected person of the United States and its allies". The sanctions include prohibiting US property transactions and blocking and revoking visas.

Last year, the ICC, based in The Hague, issued warrants for the arrest of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant for crimes against humanity and war crimes in Gaza.

In response, the House passed the ICC sanctions bill, but it was not brought to a vote in the Senate, which was then under Democratic control. Thursday's vote was the second time that the chamber has voted for the pro-Israel measure..."

IOF hide soldier identities fearing legal consequences abroad

"...A Ynet report on Friday revealed that an IOF soldier fled Brazil after complaints were lodged against soldiers in Thailand, Chile, and other nations. That said, the Hind Rajab Foundation's global pursuit of IOF soldiers involved in the Gaza war is now extending into Europe.

The Hind Rajab Foundation announced Thursday that it had filed a complaint in Sweden against an IOF soldier for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza. According to the foundation, the soldier, a Nahal Brigade fighter, is currently in Sweden.

The group wrote, "He may leave the country soon, we demand his immediate arrest"..."

11 Israelis injured in Houthi missile attack

"...At least 11 Israelis were injured early Tuesday while rushing to shelters after a missile launched from Yemen targeted central Israel, according to Israeli public broadcaster KAN.

The Israeli army said its air defenses intercepted the missile before it entered Israeli airspace. Air-raid sirens were sounded across central Israel, prompting hundreds of thousands to seek shelter.
