Hypothetically speaking let’s say you are God: and you create a people (the Jews, say) and you make them your people. You tell them that they are the Chosen Ones, the apple of your eye, loved by you specially before anything ever nestled in the womb of time.
But with love comes responsibility; you tell your people that they must obey you. They must listen to your every word and every precept without exception; they must hang on your every word and act accordingly.
And as the apple of your eye, the love of your life, you give them an extraordinary promise. Just as they are the people you have chosen you will give them a Chosen One. The rule will be simple: you may come incognito but they must recognize you and obey you as if he were you: because he is.
If instead of falling at the feet of your personal emissary (or you, really) the Jews instead chose to revile you and persecute you, if instead of worshipping you they rent their garments when he said he was you. If instead of exalting you they killed you.
In such a case would you forgive them? Would you forgive the Jews?
Heaven forbid! Heaven forbid! No forgiveness would ever be on the cards in any amount of years. Rather you would hunt, hound, harass and harry them to the ends of the earth until they were no more.
Of course we know the end of the story, the Jews did reject Jesus and if there is anything we know about this putative God is he likes to nurse a grudge, likes to score settle, and get his own in the end.
And so in the ripeness of time the Lord Of Hosts sent a great human vessel and a pure human scourge by the name of Adolf Hitler. He had the right idea, he didn’t mince words or beat around the bush. He had the right idea: victory over the Jews. He tried to carry out God’s fondest wish: that there be victory over the Jews.
It’s one of those ideas whose time had come.
Only victory over the Jews can cleanse being. Maybe that’s sad and maybe that’s not sad. Surely in today’s world more than a few will get up in arms over the notion and rend some garments.
But the truth is both a cold-blooded bastard and a bitter pill; and surely what is actually true is what actually matters.
Is it true?
Can only victory over the Jews cleanse being?
Can there be a doubt?

Of course our hypothetical is fanciful; all of the above is mere fantasy. No God as such ever was nor did he make the Jews his special ones. What heavenly being would give his exclusive love to such a mish mash of depravity?
But nature or nature’s gods equally have a stake in the future. Every heavenly being demands a sacrifice; and when nature calls you had best listen or you find yourself like one of those slow learners who can’t keep up with the learning curve when it goes vertical and the face to climb becomes sheer.
We all know that the Jews managed to elude the grasp of Hitler as he sought to finally fix their wagon once and for all and forever. That is they lived to fight another day. But the thing about always surviving by the skin of your teeth rather than by your soundness and the sweat of your brow is one day you run out of days to fight on. One day you find yourself living on borrowed time and the creditor comes calling. For history neither rhymes nor repeats and one day the Jews will finally go down in history when we do it right.
No more Mr. Nice guy, as had been said.
And on that day better it were for them that they had never tried to vanquish us in the first place.
