The only good one is a dead one and now the dead ones are getting their day in the sun. The Indians are taking a break from drinking whiskey, beating their kids, and raking in the casino money to boo hoo about some dust and bones spirited away in some university archives. Way back when the Franz Boaz sycophant Alfred Kroeber turned Ishi into an international superstar on par with Will Rogers after he had stumbled out of his cave like those Japanese soldiers did long after the atomic blast. His people were long gone but somehow Ishi had managed to soldier on in the now post apocalyptic world and, typical of the time, the White man dressed him up in a suit and a tie, goggled at him, made some cursory notes, and had him do some light housekeeping. His guardians in the anthropological suites were deeply sympathetic to his so-called plight but that did not stop them lo those many years later from getting lacerated as big racists even though it was they, the anthropologists, who started the game of Indian worship rolling. Under the tutelage and guidance of Jews, naturally.

“Gov. Gavin Newsom signed two laws Tuesday (October 10 2023) intended to compel California’s public university systems to make progress in their review and return of Native American remains and artifacts. Decades-old state and federal legislation, known as repatriation laws, require government entities to return these items to tribes. Those artifacts could include prayer sticks or wolves’ skins that have been used for ceremonies. But the state auditor found in recent years that many campuses have not done so due to a lack of funding or of clear protocols from chancellors’ offices.”

This is the lowest of the low. Those prayer sticks could not have done them a hell of a lot of good seeming as how we cleared them the hell out with not all that much ado. Sure, they got their licks in here and there in the same way a blind squirrel gets a now and again. These “victories” were due to their merciless and savage nature, but in organized battle they lost every time (Custer was blindsided). And anyway any time they hit hard we hit them back a hundred times harder, and pretty soon they were wandering vagabonds on the land they used to call their own. Now in between counting the roulette money they have been reduced to begging the White man for the once spoils of real victory back in the day. We should have burnt them all long ago and presented them with simple facts on the ground. But, hell, if they want that wolf jacket back that bad toss them the bone and say we are even. It sure beats all those land acknowledgments we are forced to give all the time, lying and saying we didn’t win it fair and square. After all it was a lush and bountiful continent and they certainly had no plans or abilities to use it in any fashion that could reasonably be considered meaningful.

“Democratic Assemblymember James C. Ramos, the first Native American in the California Legislature, said campuses’ failure to return remains to tribes has denied the Indian people the right to bring closure to family issues and historical trauma. We’re still dealing with a state that has not come to terms with its history — deplorable history and treatment towards California’s first people, Ramos said.”

Has not come to terms with it history? Is he a shut in? Has this big Chief been locked up in a hermitage with no electricity? Ever since Howard Zinn (and well before, actually) began to sell untold numbers of his tripe infested book which should have been straightaway pulped all of America has been down in the mouth over the Indians. In 1992 what should have been a thunderous acclamation about Columbus’ achievement petered out with canoes paddling New York harbor carrying signs that said we stole this land. 2020 should have been an even wilder acclimation, the 400th of Plymouth Rock but it landed like a dud and all you heard about it was nothing at all. You see those great men of the past had gone out of fashion and the Indians were exalted to a place of honor. They were poor and innocent and peace loving and they roamed the continent with love for the human race and they tried to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. So whatever “historical trauma” they supposedly have they can at least take solace that in the end they triumphed by getting the winners to worship them, the losers.

“The laws require the California State University system and urge the University of California system to annually report their progress to review and return Native American remains and artifacts to tribes. In 2019 Newsom issued a state apology for California’s mistreatment of and violence against Native Americans throughout history. The repatriation proposals were among the hundreds of bills lawmakers sent to the Democratic governor's desk this year.”

See what I mean about this “coming to terms with the past?” The putative leader of California went full prostrate and ripped a page from the Pope’s playbook and went ostentatiously apologizing. And now the last vestige of the White man’s great triumph, treating the Indians like bugs or dead butterflies and putting them under glass to study, of pinning them to boards to dissect them—well, some of the residue of that remains housed in academics caverns. And this is what this is really all about. It’s one thing to get your head handed to you on a continental scale in war, it’s another to have the ones who vanquished you treat you like a museum piece. The only thing worse was those Wild West shows where the Indians played the part of the decent competition in front of crowds eager to learn how the West was one once upon a time. But really they are lucky to have even any of this; more suitable they would have been put in zoos for people to gawk out or just slaughtered wholesale. Would have served them right for all the sneak attacks.

“A report published by the state auditor in 2020 found that the University of California system did not have adequate policies for returning these remains and artifacts. The Los Angeles campus, for example, returned nearly all of these items while the Berkeley campus only returned about 20% of them. For years, the University of California, Berkeley, failed to return remains to the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians. It was not until 2018 that the university returned 1,400 remains to the tribe, according to the state's Native American Heritage Commission. Kenneth Kahn, the tribe's chairman, said it is appalling that campuses have held onto Native American remains for so long and disappointing that it's taking law to get many universities to work to return these items.”

Tim White of Berkeley rose to such fame as he has by working with the Leakeys in Kenya around the time they were all stoned out their minds listening to the Beatles and came up with the name Lucy. He quickly vaulted up through the ranks by finding millions year old skeletons and telling the world about it. As a young man I remember sitting in his class with 800 other students and found him to be a snarky skeptic with an astringent sense of humor, his main foil being fundamentalist Christians who fervently believed the earth was 6000 years old on no more than an authority than Bishop Usher. One would have thought that having worked with the superstars of the anthropological age, and becoming one himself, his future reputation would have been secured as spotless but a funny thing happened on his way to eternal academic glory: the anti-racists came to power. Apparently for decades he was committing a crime that was unknown at the time: teaching his students at Kroeber Hall (now known as the bland Anthropology Art and Practice Building after the old man got axed by the ever wailing merciless savages) with, of all things: bones of dead Indians. Apparently back in the old days before Mario Savio went to a sit in they put those old bones in bins and passed them along to their successors never thinking for a moment that remains that could just as easily have been tossed in lime pit would become sacrosanct and holy relics of a badly beaten people who got a second wind thanks to the Jews taking over the universities. Now White (even his name is racist!) is in a moral no man’s land, sure he moved our understanding of human evolution along, but by the Great Spirit In The Sky he manhandled an old rain dancer without the requisite love and care.

“More than half of the 21 California State University campuses with collections of Native American remains or cultural artifacts on campus have not returned any of the items to tribes, the state auditor’s office said in a report released in June. Some campuses have these items because they’ve been used in the past for archeological research, but these laws nudge the University of California and require California State University to ban them from being used for that purpose. The University of California did not take a position on the legislation focused on its system but is committed to appropriately and respectfully returning Native American remains and artifacts to tribes, Ryan King, a spokesperson for the president’s office, said in an email. The university system already bans these materials from being used for research unless specifically approved by tribes, he said. University of California released a systemwide policy in 2021 for complying with repatriation laws.”

Seems suitable that in our degraded time we worship some decaying dust and bones of a once thoroughly whipped enemy. It is the right symbol of our times. Usually the spoils go the victor and if some old bones helped the cause of the White man’s knowledge then so much the better. But when they put Ishi in that suit and tie and treated him with respect and sympathy as the “last of his kind” even though they were patronizing as hell they started the evil ball rolling. Anthropology has always been at the heart of the Jewish perfidy ever since Franz Boas in the 1920s started railing against the Nordic ideal. And ever since dyke lesbo Margaret Mead began telling people not so subtly to give up their tired old mores and ethics and become sexually promiscuous, living fancy free and footloose, to achieve the nirvana of the holy land of expressive individualism. By the 1960s all the universities of America had become hotbeds and hothouse of integration, and anthropology with its deep contemplation of worn out red man pottery shards, was always at the forefront of this fomenting. Hell, I knew it was all scam way back when when they gave us a week off to protest the government of South Africa (racism was enshrined in their constitution don’t you know). This one’s for Nelson comrades! Disinvest! And I usually skipped those mass lectures and paid the best five dollars I ever spent for lightening notes produced by some demon note taker. After all any discipline dedicated to dead Indians was not worth walking to campus at 9:00 in the morning. Still got an A though. And unlike Tim White, who danced with the devil and got singed, my reputation is still fully intact.
