A Queer Anti-Racist

Story goes that back in the 1930s some dikes were felled by flooding in the Netherlands and the farmers had a lot of work to do. But it was Saturday night, and the consensus among the Calvinists gathered was that they couldn’t work the next day. Apparently the pastor was a rather cheerful fellow and he reminded the men that even Jesus said that Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. And it’s safe to say those old Calvinists were some tough old birds, you don’t come up with the doctrine of total depravity if you’re a lightweight. And at that point a grizzled veteran stepped forward and said with all due respect sir, and now that we’re on the subject, I’ve always thought that Jesus fellow was a bit of liberal.

But you can be sure that Jesus fellow had nothing on these leftwing Catholics boy, they’re so hip and cutting edge they don’t even believe in a divine Jesus anymore, but they do believe in cherry picking some of his sayings and magnifying them all out of proportion into an anti-racist cult of social justice and liberation gospel. To them Jesus is not the man who said he’d like to set the world on fire and his only regret was that it was not already burning (that smacks of fascism), but their Jesus is the long suffering servant who is a brown refugee, a black victim of police brutality, an outcast gay man, and (probably) a transitioning youth whose parents have the audacity to tell him it’s time he got his head screwed on right.

And right up in the front row when it comes to laying low the White race in the name of radical social Christianity is the university of Villanova, an enclave of glorified nuns on the bus run wild, they take the knee all year round on that campus, and like all of official Christianity they are as anti-white as you can get. They have those collared padres in the rainbow pastels (he has padre pride!), they have the kneeling priests shining the silverback shoes, they have the bleached out Episcopalians screaming for social justice beat hands down, and they have the radical academics posturing that Christ was for liberation from hang ups, entrenched prejudice, and White Supremacy. The President of this purportedly Catholic school laid this dark verbal feces on us just a few years back:

“Since the summer of 2020, the Aequitas Task Force has been diligently working to create a Villanova community marked by a sense of openness, fairness and justice for all. In the process, we have come to see our work through the lens of antiracism and have adopted the aspirational goal of becoming an antiracist campus. The Task Force adopted an orientation that focuses on policies, practices and structures that create or sustain inequity of any minoritized people. Race becomes an entry point of focus, the aspiration of becoming an antiracist campus means that we commit ourselves to work for justice and equity for everyone.”

For everyone, well not quite: no White men need apply or should ever go near. And that “aequitas” is a cheap flourish, as if Cicero himself marshaled all his eloquence in order to level Whiteness; and now the vile Villanova is as good as its bad word and they have onboarded an overweight black queer anti-racist to fix the White man’s wagon. Even though contemporary Christianity is anti-White from top to bottom and stem to stern they want to pretend that it’s a final bastion of unreconstructed Hitlerites and they want to root out the White pride root and branch from an organization that in fact hasn’t put in a good word for the White man in modern memory.

“Villanova University near Philadelphia is set to host a lecture by a black lesbian LGBT activist on the end of white Christian America. An exclusive, private research institution located in the extremely affluent suburbs of Philadelphia recently promoted a seminar taking place at the school titled A Womanist Path to Ending White Christian America.”

Womanist apparently means a whining and moaning about the racist Patriarchy and blasts the resurgence of racist White male heteronormativity, or at least that’s what I could glean from their prospectus. But in a way they are right, though there are still more than a few of radically racist White Christians (may they keep the home fires burning!) the religion itself is being eclipsed in the White world, and is becoming a black and brown religion; unfortunately the Whites who are leaving the fold are not doing so in the names of runes and Germanic lore but for consumerism and apathy. One can only hope that the last White man who leaves the church has the presence of mind not to look back.

“A troubling part of that reality is that white supremacy is grounded in Christian history, texts, ideas, and institutions. Is Christian faith possible apart from anti-Blackness? In this session, we will explore this question as we contemplate the meaning of the end of White Christian America We will study the liberative possibilities found in womanist theology, a discourse developed by Black women.”

Our flyers are proscribed by conservative wonder boys who sign the law in Israel, but the flyer for this event was distributed without incident; it claimed that the “murders” of the criminals George Floyd and Breonna Taylor were the consequences of (wait for it!) a White Supremacist system. They claim (against all evidence) that this system is grounded in Christian history, texts, ideas, and institutions. Not any Christian institution that is extant, the preachers and priests of today are scrambling all over themselves to erase both White people, White history, and every semblance of normalcy; they are infinitely more likely to have a bearded lady in the pulpit, and a simpering man on his knees worshipping the blacks, than anyone thundering about degeneracy and the inestimable benefits of a nice, White country.

“It is worth mentioning that this event is not being coordinated by a fringe group on campus. According to the official announcement from the school this session will be facilitated by Rev. Naomi Washington-Leapheart. Reverend Naomi is an ordained minister, justice advocate, public administrator, and adjunct professor of Theology and Religious Studies at Villanova University.”

Make no mistake about it, these lunatics left the fringe a long time ago and are long since in the mainstream. It used to be a big fat bull dyke like this creature would have been balancing multi-colored balls (ideologically speaking) on her nose in a circus side show. She would have been that person standing on an egg crate in the public square screaming imprecations and the normal and the decent folk strolling by would consider whether or not to call the authorities or just let her bellow herself out. But now she has a high profile and high paying gig at a “prestigious research university,” and she’s taken very seriously indeed by the bien pensants and cosmopolitan scum who sadly comprise out elite.

“Washington-Leapheart previously worked as the faith director for the National LGBTQ Task Force, which is purportedly the U.S.’s oldest national LGBTQ justice and equality group. She has also served as the director for faith-based and interfaith affairs for the city of Philadelphia. Currently, she is an adjunct professor for Villanova’s Theology and Religious Studies department. She is on record as having once said the only way I’m able to remain a Christian is to imagine that Jesus is Black and queer.”

Laqueesha is one angry mud person and she won’t countenance the power entrenched Christianity of the White man. No, just like Cleopatra and all those Queens Of England Jesus was a darkie and not just any darkie but a darkie who was a sodomy aficianado, definitely non binary, and loved himself a good drag show where some dude in a dress leers at the little ones. After all it’s not what goes in your mouth but what comes out of it that defiles you, he said so right there in red letters, right? No, this sassy silverback has pride in her pews, and diversity for a dogma, it’s not your grandpappy’s religion anymore, this is thinking about the Bible blackly.

“Washington-Leapheart’s commitment to helping students grow their understanding of faith and illustrating the connection between religion and social issues is evident in a forthcoming event she organized entitled The End of White Christian America. In it, she hopes to discuss distinguishing between expressions of faith rooted in justice and expressions of faith that are about maintaining power. Having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and subsequently working in education, Washington-Leapheart enrolled in seminary around the time the Black Lives Matter movement was forming. God was calling me, she said.”

Not the god of the copy book headings and surely not the ancestral gods of our people. No, her God is a switch hitter and a colored man to boot, and a refugee, and a black man who can’t breathe or who supposedly said “hands up don’t shoot”, and one of the wretched of the earth. Hers will be a black mass alright, and the hittas and the drillas will be turning water into malt liquor. George Floyd is their savior, Ahmaud Abrey is their patron saint, and they have a whole cast of martyrs from the drug addict Matthew Sheppard to that skittle loving criminal Trayvon Martin. The gospel they preach is the end of Whiteness, and the power and the glory of the colored man, and when their Jesus returns to the earth on the clouds he will be ushering in the millennium of equity and inclusiveness and the rules of the dark races. And in this perverted eschatology there will be nothing liberal about him, but he will be decolonizing the world in the name setting their people free.
