TODAY IN HISTORY
1913: Mary Phagan, a 13-year-old White factory worker in Atlanta, is raped and strangled by her Jewish sweatshop boss Leo Frank, the president of the city's B'nai B'rith chapter. Frank's conviction for the sex killing would set off the first large-scale propaganda operation of the Jewish power structure in the United States, and lead to the founding of the ADL.
