1949: Hollywood/media figures Dorothy Parker (born Dorothy Rothschild), Danny Kaye (born David Daniel Kaminsky), John Garfield (born Jacob Julius Garfinkle), Paul Muni (born Frederich Meshilem Meier Weisenfreund), and Edward G. Robinson (pictured; born Emanuel Goldenberg), among others, are named in an FBI report as Communist Party members. All these are of Jewish ancestry.
