Today In History (May 16 1888) Nikola Tesla
TODAY IN HISTORY
1888: Nikola Tesla delivers a lecture describing his alternating current inventions which will, for the first time in human history, allow efficient generation and use of electric power over long distances. He showed his character when he once tore up a contract with Westinghouse that was worth billions to him in order to save the company. In later years, Tesla would support eugenics, stating “Certainly no one who is not a desirable parent should be permitted to produce progeny.” He also famously advised, “Never trust a Jew.”- Jim Mathias

If only Tesla had produced offspring of his own to put his words into positive eugenic action.
