1512: The Spanish Crown issues the disastrous Laws of Burgos, governing the conduct of settlers with regard to Amerinidians in Spanish colonies in the New World. The laws require residences of Amerindian workers to be built among the homes of Whites, and require aggressive efforts to convert the natives to Christianity. These, and other measures, create conditions favorable for the crime against Nature of miscegenation, which takes place on a massive scale.
