TODAY IN HISTORY
1852: John Harvey Kellogg, American surgeon, co-creator of corn flakes, and proponent of improved public health, vegetarianism, and eugenics, is born in Tyrone, Michigan. Along with economist Irving Fisher and biologist Charles Davenport, he would found the Race Betterment Foundation in 1906.- Jim Mathias
