Flag question

Post by Will Williams » Fri Apr 08, 2022 5:25 pm

The image below is featured with an article on NV by Dr. Thomas Dalton: https://nationalvanguard.org/2021/01/le ... stan-coup/

I don't know the source of the image with the Life Rune, circled by 13 stars. The source doesn't matter. I'm curious, though, why 13?

It's certainly not representative of the 13 original U.S. colonies. Some superstitious people think 13 is an unlucky number. Bible thumpers say there were 13 people at Jesus' unlucky Last Supper, the last to be seated being Judas. That's a good one. Some tall buildings even skip a 13th floor, thinking it would bring bad luck to live or have an office there. Then there is the Friday the 13th bugaboo.

13 is my friend Paul's favorite number, probably because he's about the least superstitious person I know, and likes to defy irrational thinking. He doesn't even believe in heaven or hell or that Jesus is his personal savior -- stuff like that.

But why the 13 stars around the Life Rune? Any theories? I like Paul's reasoning

This display of stars around the life rune is a new one on me. Stars are often symbolic of states, at this time no states have submitted themselves to our Cosmotheist life-philosophy.

The oak leaves/acorns as has been traditionally used seems most appropriate.

Man, I feel sorry for all those poor clueless tenants signing leases for "floor 14". They have no idea about the world of hurt they are about to enter

In all seriousness, it must just be a reference to the revolutionary Betsy Ross flag. The picture doesn't seem to exist anywhere else, so it was probably created recently by one of our guys.

Making it 14 stars would seem to make much more sense.

I guess? But what was wrong with the laurel?

Nothing, I quite like the laurel. Just that IF there were going to be stars in approximately this number 14 makes more sense than 13.

About as much sense as 88 stars. :)

This Life Rune is the Alliance's symbol:

grows the mighty oak.

Ah this entire time I thought it was laurel... I do like the oak better.

What exactly do our oak leaves and acorns represent?

They're symbolic of life, and rebirth of life.
