I don't know the source of the image with the Life Rune, circled by 13 stars. The source doesn't matter. I'm curious, though, why 13?
It's certainly not representative of the 13 original U.S. colonies. Some superstitious people think 13 is an unlucky number. Bible thumpers say there were 13 people at Jesus' unlucky Last Supper, the last to be seated being Judas. That's a good one.

13 is my friend Paul's favorite number, probably because he's about the least superstitious person I know, and likes to defy irrational thinking. He doesn't even believe in heaven or hell or that Jesus is his personal savior -- stuff like that.
But why the 13 stars around the Life Rune? Any theories? I like Paul's reasoning
