Well, when you get taken from the pinnacle of negro accomplishment (the mud hut) to the nuclear age of space and science in a matter of a few generations, there is a lot of psychological wattle and daub needed to fill in the gaps of his heritage and ours, 20% White genes notwithstanding. One way to staunch the "bleeding out" of his self esteem in these matters would be an ostentatious display of "proof to the contrary" to these iron-clad genetic facts--everywhere he would chance to look within his house. This is a man who would not do well were his dwelling experience any sort of destruction, for with it would go all of the temple he has built to convince himself that he really is just as good or better than his affirmative action sponsors. I would say it is better to lay up riches of the spirit in things that do not pass away. To think his religion forbids his wife lipstick belies the ostentatious ticky tack he has surrounded himself with--it is grossly hypocritical.

Trump may have built ostentatiously, but I don't get the same impression that his self-esteem is what he is desperately trying to salvage. I agree, with CE Whiteoak that there's something not quite right about Carson, beyond the unfortunate facts of his genetic heritage and consequent hypocrisy.

He may sew up the votes of Negroes who, like him, think their Jesus was a brutha?
