Pick your gender - there's six to choose from

The number of colleges and universities accommodating the use of gender-neutral pronouns continues to grow, which one cultural analyst says presents a challenge for Christians.
Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute says leftists who support "gay" lifestyles have created a framework of gender-neutral pronouns to reflect their ideology – an ideology she argues isn't based on fact or reality.
If it feels good, do it!
"It's all absurd; it's like Alice in Wonderland," Higgins offers. "And we [in the Christian community] keep allowing them to intimidate us into capitulating to their ideological demands."
As an example of this absurdity, the application form for the University of California asks applicants if they are male; female; trans male/trans man; trans female/trans woman; gender queer/gender non-conforming; or a different identity. OneNewsNow reported last week on a similar move on the University of Tennessee campus that was quickly squelched.
Higgins urges Christians to stand up and oppose this ideology, which she believes does far more harm than good.
"... We have to resist it – and we have to resist it even when it's costly," she concludes. "To be a follower of Christ is necessarily costly. We have lived in America for all these decades and never really had to pay anything for being followers of Christ. Those days are over."
