The most massive neutron star ever!!! This newly discovered neutron star weighs about 2.17 times the mass of the sun. (That’s 333,000 times the mass of Earth!). The diameter of this monster is only approximately 15 miles, or about the size of Manhattan! Wade says, "Holy jumpin' Jee-zus!!"

130 million years ago when dinos roamed our
planet.....

An excellent video explaining the discovery
and verification of ripples in space-time.
Please try to ignore over-rated Jewish public
figures and focus on the excellent work of
Caucasian Physicist Kip Thorne, who made it
all possible. Thorne refers to space-time
"fabric," but it's not clear how space or
time is a "fabric." The effects of massive
gravitational bodies on space is easier to
grasp than the effect on time.

A startling collision in an ancient galaxy
slews Earth's largest telescopes to a spot
in the Hydra constellation. Two rapidly
spinning neutron stars have violently merged
to form a possible black hole. And, for the
first time, astronomers see its electromagnetic
flash and hear its gravitational thunder as
they watch new elements being born.

Amazing Surface Of Neutron Star!

For the first time ever, NASA
has mapped out the surface of
a neutron star – the remains
of a violent stellar explosion –
revealing scorching “hot spots”
that can reach up to 1 million
degrees and continue to puzzle
scientists.

Very good and informative video:

“From its perch on the space
station, NICER is revolutionizing
our understanding of pulsars,”
said Paul Hertz, NASA astrophysics
division director at the agency’s
Washington headquarters. “With
NICER we can probe the nature
of these dense remnants in ways
that seemed impossible until now.”

Is Dr. Paul Hertz one of "the
chosen?" A Wiki search turns up
nothing.
