How far is Voyager 2 from the Sun in light years?
The Voyager - Mission Status....
https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/
....gives the distance of both Voyager 1 and 2
from Earth and the Sun in terms of miles and
astronomical units (AU). It also lists “one-way
light time” in hours, minutes, and seconds. The
quickest way to find the distance is to divide
the “one way light time” in hours by 8760 to get
light-years. Voyager 2 is (as of this answer)
16 hours, 48 minutes, 53 seconds away by light-
speed, which is 16.8147 light-hours. Divide by
8760 light hours per light-year: 0.001919 light-
years. Voyager 1 is (as of this answer) 20 hours,
21 minutes, 44 seconds away at light-speed, which
is 20.3622 light-hours. That’s 0.00232 light-years.
One could also use the miles and AU values on the
Mission Status page if you wanted to divide by
miles-per-light-year or AU-per-light-year.

This brings back lots of memories. I was a station operator at Goldstone Deep space tracking station. I was the the receiver operator at station 12 during the Voyager 2 Jupiter pass. Those were special times

Re: What's Next For Voyager One?
As to the question as to whether or not Voyager
can still send any photographs... Voyager 1 no
longer sends pictures. That would require a lot
of power and what is there to take a picture of
anyway? However, NASA is still in contact with
the craft and can still send instructions. Some
information regarding the interstellar medium
is still being received. Both Voyager craft have
very limited power at this point. Scientific
instruments are selectively being shut down
to conserve power. It is estimated that in
the next five to ten years the craft will
no longer have the power to run any scientific
instruments or send transmissions to Earth. At
that point all contact with the craft will be
lost.

This is a picture of an unknown alien race finding,
scanning and trying to communicate with the voyager 1,
some were about 578 light years away from Earth and
