Dream-scaled eyes drink in soft sunflakes
misting through dew-webbed leaves; a warm slice of shale
skips off the surface of memory, forming ripple-thought lakes,
ponds, creeks and streams; murmuring snail
roots of plant, grass and tree unfurl, inch-by-inch evergrow;
stem-broke lemmings pile on wise soil they're dying to know--
and everythere and where water: walking, jogging, circle-turn twist-flowing,
diving, slip-sliding, doesn't-know-whether-it's-coming-or-going,
wildly whispering, deaf and blind stone-stirring, head-to-toe
curly-swirling water!--moved moving others, feeding first-fast then slow
life-to-riveting-life, like blood vein-sailing limb-to-limb
night and day rivering impulsive ways, driven by pulsing rhythm.
