Peder Mork Monsted was born in the eastern part of Denmark on the Jutland Peninsula, the son of a wealthy shipbuilder. As a child, he attended drawing lessons at the Art School in Aarhus, and later moved to Copenhagen. In 1875-1879 he studied at the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of landscape and portrait painter Andries Fritz and master of genre painting Julius Exner.

Lovely! Thanks, Wolfhammer. I studied art history at two universities and never once heard of Edelfelt. Tsk! tsk!

It would be nice to know what he titled these works. What is the girl looking at off in the distance? One can almost feel her tense emotion, hiding from it.

Your signature file says it all. Whites like beauty, thus ihe appeal of representational art from the realism movement as opposed to later, Judaized degerate "modern" art. See: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4966&p=20237&hilit ... ord#p20237

Those races that evolved in more demanding environments advanced more rapidly. - www.natall.com/
Look at the paintings of European realists.
Closeness of our ancestors with nature and life in a more demanding and even harsher environment.
Eternal struggle is the price for survival.

Michael Peter Ancher (9 June 1849 – 19 September 1927) was a Danish realist artist, and widely known for his paintings of fishermen, the lakes, and other scenes from the Danish fishing community in Skagen.

Peder Severin Krøyer (often referred to as P.S. Krøyer) was 14 years old when he first enrolled to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. From a young age, he was talented as an artist, and he was highly respected as a portrait painter, which was a very prestigious genre. In the beginning of his career, Krøyer was a very sought after painter and worked plenty of comissions. This was the common way for painters to work back then, until the artistic revolution of the impressionist painters.
