Hope Sandoval of Mazzy Star is definitely the best woman singer I have ever heard in my time. This performance is old, but, now, at age 48, she still has an amazing voice and looks great!

This is an even better live version of the song I previously posted. This is just beautiful and pure.

I just love this mellow, folksy type of rock music. It takes me to a higher place spiritually. Pure, beautiful music is what I like. Only people who are white(and by that I mean people who one would recognize as white upon first impression) are capable of capturing pure, white spirit in their music.

More Hope. Maybe I should have given her her own thread. If this doesn't melt your heart, then you just don't have one.

Did y'all like that last video I posted? If you can watch that and NOT want to cry, then you're not a real man.

I didn't cry and didn't want to cry, but thanks for that. I'd never heard of Mazzy Star before. Her voice is sweet, all right. Reminds me of Claudine Longet from the 1960s, who definitely did make me cry back then: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Zrvfv4 ... Zrvfv4F_zc

Here's Mazzy on Conan O'Brien's TV show. She has a couple of female guitarists in her band. She sure is short, or Conan is very tall.

Sorry, Will, I didn't mean to insult you. I get carried away with people and things that I really like. Yes, Hope is only around five feet tall, and Conan, I believe, is easily over six feet tall. So, it is a little of both. I guess she just strikes a certain cord within me. I love my mellow, melodic, folkish, bluegrass kind of rock, especially with a good female vocalist. I like my "nerdy" white tastes, and I am proud to be that guy that some blacks secretly laugh at and make fun of for being "that honkey that be listening to that weird white people music".
