My brother Ward died a week ago and Lana and I went to a family gathering at his widow's house to honor him. It was good seeing Ward's four children, three I hadn't seen in 19 years, along with all of the others who loved Ward.
Lana took the picture of me at her and Ward's house with a portrait I painted of Ward 30 years ago (probably 16" x 24"). I hadn't seen it in almost that long. I recognize that he was wearing one of my ties (with a Life Rune pin on it).
It's on a small easel photographed at an angle so is slightly distorted, but the date 1994 is scratched into the painting under his right coat pocket, along with my initials, so I could tell the year it was painted.
